Exotic Pink Salts Himalayan Salt Lamp, 5 Pound

I have a few of these now and I was very excited to get this in such a huge size for the price. The best part of this lamp is I can plug it in by my bed. NO USB. Those previously purchased were small compared to this and had to be by a commuter. I came back to buy another but saw they were out of stock. BUMMER! I need 2 for the kids rooms. They love them. They create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. They bring tranquility in a house full of running around. They are nice at bedtime to settle down to. I really enjoy the Himalayan Salt lamps.I love the glowing, peaceful look as I fall asleep.I am an asthmatic and suffer all winter long with breathing and sinus issues. I feel this has helped tremendously. So I think it does purify the air nicely. .I bought the 5 pound light. It is approximatelky7 inches tall with a light wood base. White cord that plugs in the wall with an on and off switch you can reach. I am very glad I purchased lamp and will be purchasing more in the future. I highly recommend this for anyone.I purchased this item at full price and the opinions stated in this review are unbiased and of my own personal opinion. This is going back. What a disappointment! The bulb doesn't even get warm which means the salt won't warm like it's supposed to do what it's meant to do, purify the air. The bulb is tiny and smaller than a Christmas tree bulb. I have other lamps in my house and this is just badly made :(Picture shows the bulb. I had to unscrew the screws with a screwdriver to get to the bulb.Also there is ONLY a usb and no wall plug!

I ordered one for my son and his wife as a gift and decided I would really like one too so ordered a second one. The first one came, and I set it up. Just beautiful! Rich shades of orange; it is like a living thing. The second didn't end up making it for Christmas, so I gifted that one. I just got the second one today, and, wow... um... really??? It is white, not pink, or orange, although there are a few brownish rust colored marks on it. As much as I loved the first one, I am SO disappointed with the second. I got the first one at a better price too. I am glad I had that one for the gift. I would have been embarrassed to give the second. I suppose I should just return the sad one.

It gives off a very pretty and calming glow. I was reading other reviews stating that it didn't get warm. That isn't the case, Mine is definitely warm to the touch.I am looking forward to seeing if my family and I can start feeling the benefits from it.

I got the 2lb one, it's a cute lil' lamp. I noticed my room smelled a bit better after I plugged it in for an hour...but maybe that was a placebo effect? It's cold so I guess it's not teeeechnically working. I bought it for the apparent effect it can have on anxiety. I'm not fidgeting as badly as I usually do and my cat (who also has anxiety) is completely conked out. So even if it won't help a person by much, THINK OF YOUR HOUSE PETS. It's also not as pink as I was hoping, but I'm not really complaining since it looks really pretty and my congestion is easing a bit. I've been sick for a time, hoping I don't wheeze tonight. <3 If I could go back and buy the 5lb rock though, I probably would. :3 But 2lbs is okay too. <3

I bought one as a gag gift for one son, another for my daughter-in-law, and the third for myself, just to see what they're all about. I LOVE THIS LITTLE LAMP! It sits on my kitchen counter, and after our evening meal & clean up, the lights go out and this little lamp sheds just enough light to see around the kitchen, and it's signals to everyone "Kitchen is Closed". I gave it 4 stars because there is a portion of the lamp that lets more light through than other sections, and if you look at that, it hurts your eyes. But not enough to deter me,,,,,bought a 4th for the last son as an "extra" Christmas gift.

Looks really cute, but doesn't work... I have a large one and when it heats up you can totally feel a difference. I have been sick and it totally dried up my sinus... I got this small one for my desk at work, but it makes no difference what so ever... If you want it just for the look then totally buy it, its cheap and its cute. But if you want it for the actual effects, I would buy a different one.

I bought this after a friend recommended getting a salt lamp to clean the air from allergies we were having from high pollen in the South. I put it in my teenager's room and I swear his acne has been dramatically reduced. I have no proof or doc recommendations but after three weeks of using this lamp, his face has cleared up (he did not have severe acne) along with cleaning the air in his room (stinky gym socks!). I've since bought one for my bedroom and office.
