I absolutely love this book. I love how the author has worded it so it’s timeless. I love how she goes into details about various things and connects it to her experience I like how personable it is and how you can make it your own at the same time.

I'm only a bit into this book, and I already love it. I have a very keen interest in other culture's spirituality and practices, and I'm embarrassed to admit that African Spirituality was not one I had thought of learning more about. Until my daughter suggested this book I had not given it one single solitary thought. I am so glad she did and so glad I purchased it. It speaks to my heart as a woman, and my soul as a human, and I am grateful to have it in my library.

An absolute treasurer of a book.

I regifted, something just closed in me reading the first chapter. My cousin seems to be enjoying thou.

The whole book is beautifully written. I enjoyed reading about Luisah’s personally story. The book breaks a down the origins of New Orleans Voodoo, the different Gods and Goddesses, Rituals, Candle Magic and so on... a must read for anyone who’s interested in spirituality
