Regardless the price of this lense, yes its a prime lense ! I love taking landscapes with this one on my cropped sensor

Crisp images, but beware of lack of IS
This is a rather sharp non pricey prime lensI used it with my canon APSC camera and took it for a recent europe tourThe only disadvantage was the frequent need to change lenses due to the fixed focal lengthAnother issue is the lack of ISIf you are shooting in Aperture priority mode the camera sometimes sets the shutter speeds rather low (even in cloudy conditions )And this causes blurring of images on handheld shotsSo this lens is best suited to those used to shooting in Manual mode and taking control over the shutter speed

The serial number sticker was peeled off when i got it.Definitely returning it back.
