Update 1/30/2023: A word of caution to anyone buying this tool. Yes, it works amazingly to remove tonsil stones quickly and painlessly. HOWEVER. Heed my warning, make sure you thoroughly clean/sanitize your attachments between each use and don’t overdo it!! I used this tool to work out a particularly tricky tonsil stone last week. Within 24 hours or so I started to get what felt at first like strep throat. It has held on for several days now and my tonsils have been swollen. I am convinced I inadvertently introduced some bacteria to that area, and/or over worked the area causing irritation and an opportunity for bacteria to develop. Thankfully this is more of an irritation than anything, but as someone who relies on my voice for work, any inconvenience with my voice can mean missed pay which is no good. So please!! Do a thorough job cleaning your attachments between uses. As I’ve learned, running under warm-hot water isn’t enough. And if you have a really tricky stone, try gargling some salt water or leaving it alone for a day. You’ll regret picking at it when it’s not ready.As someone who has struggled with tonsiloliths at least since I was a teenager, this is the miracle tool I’ve always been looking for. The soft but rigid end is perfect for dislodging those painful stones you get in your tonsils. The light that is built in is nice, but I have a poorly lit bathroom so I still need to use my phone’s flashlight when using the tool. Since using the tool, I seem to have a decrease in them overall, maybe because I am better able to clear them out when I notice one. If you struggle with them you know what a pain they are! I only wish I had found this tool sooner.

I had a tonsil stone that I wasn't able to dislodge for over a week. When I saw this removal tool I ordered it immediately, and crossed my fingers that it worked. And it DID! This is so much better than using a Q tip (which rarely does the job). It's easy to use, reaches far enough to keep things simple, and the light is very helpful. Only 2 issues: initially the light appeared dim, but I noticed when I moved the tool around a bit, it got a LOT brighter and I could see the back of my throat very well. Secondly, putting this gadget back in the case did not come easy on the 1st or 2nd swing, but, as they say, 3rd time is a charm :) Definitely worth the money!

This is cheaply made. The shorter tips are not long enough to prevent putting your hand in your mouth. The longer tips could be a little longer. I imagine it would break if not handled nicely. The light does definitely help but we will see about the battery life. That being said, this makes it much easier to remove tonsil stones without stuffing a fist into my mouth and juggling a flashlight. I hope that a quality version of this product will eventually be produced.

Here are two precautions I would advise after trying this tool:1. Make sure you don't apply so much pressure that the tip slips and jabs you in the tonsil -- I've done it a few times and it is painful.2. Please be cautious of a potential chocking hazard. The interchangeable tips pop down into the handle and they are not stuck so firmly that they can't pop out occasionally. It would be so easy to swallow the plastic tip or choke on it if it comes out and you aren't being careful.I gave the tool three stars because it has helped me remove some stubborn tonsil stones that have been driving me crazy. But I'm not sure if the risk outweighs the benefit.

You will see there are a lot of tonsil stone removers on Amazon that are all basically the exact same thing in varying combinations but with wide price ranges. The others that are lighted and similar to this one have tips that are shorter and sharp. I used one of those other ones for a year and although it worked it was harder to use and I did manage to make my tonsil bleed a couple of times due to sharp hard plastic tips. This seller has made a huge improvement by having the longer tool and by placing the soft rubberized cover on the tip to prevent scratching. The light is also way brighter than my last one. There are extra batteries and other tips to use. I expect a set of two will last me at least a few years. This is the set to get if you suffer from tonsil stones and don't want to hurt yourself while trying to remove them.
