I have to wear a hat for work. Unfortunately I sweat a gross amount. I can cover my shirt in sweat if the day is hot enough (gross right?) So after a couple days of heavy sweating my hat starts to turn white from sweat and smell. This is a perfect and inexpensive solution for me. It doesn't seem overly durable so I'm not sure how long it will last, but it's cheap enough that if it ever breaks I'll buy another without thinking twice about it.

I used this for a curved brim cap that I use for work - so it was pretty grungey. I used it in the dishwasher on the top rack with a few other , mostly clean dishes in the load. The product worked as described, but there was some detergent residue left on the cap where the frame is tight against the brim and fabric. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. I dried the cap in my dryer using the dryer shelf and no other clothes and it came out OK. I have 3 other caps to use this on, so I will update my review as needed.

These Ball Cap frames are quite large. While the description says they can be used in the Washing Machine or Dishwasher, the card they came on says to use in the Dishwasher. I bought several frames and washed 3 caps in the washing machine with a few light weight shirts on a gentle cycle, the caps did come out clean but 2 of the 3 frames had a break in them. My husband fixed the breaks with shrink wrap so they look good as new.

This item works in general but the issue I have is that it doesn't support the curve in most of the bills on my caps. I don't wash the caps in this shaper, just dry them in it. Because the bill area of the shaper is flat, it doesn't completely shape my caps. It does help to keep the head part round, though not completely, but I would prefer something with a curved bill area, or perhaps NO bill area. Since the hinge is on the bill end, you can't cut it off and just use the round, head part.

Not sure if I ever gave a 5 star review before but if I did those were wrong. THIS is absolutely perfect at what it does. I thought my favorite hat was ruined from age,sweat,ect I saw this thing and it was cheap enough so I gave it a try and it was awesome. The only "flaw" was it took a while to dry but I think that I was expecting it to be as dry as my dishes when it was done. Wait 24 hours and it's perfect.

so I've got a bunch of hats from vacation that hat salt stains that I wanted to wash and keep for memories, these were standard ball-caps not the fruity gang-sta hats the kids are wearing at the mall with the stupid tags still hanging off. the plastic of the frame its serious which is why I took a star down from 5 to 4 but the MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR DISHWASHER AND NOT YOUR CLOTHS WASHER .... I used the dishwasher empty except for the hat and the frame and it came out without all the heavy oils and body-salt from sweat.Glad I bought it

My husband and I have several baseball caps which had gotten dirty over time. We had heard of these "forms" you slip a cap into which enable you to wash the cap without destroying its shape. After reading a number of reviews on Amazon, we settled for this one. We actually ordered 3 of them so we could wash a few caps at the same time. Following instructions that were provided, we put our caps in the Cap Shapers. We put them on the top rack of our dishwasher, washed them using NON-lemon detergent, and set the drying feature to 'off'. An hour later, CLEAN HATS! Couldn't be more pleased. Thanks for a great little gadget!

I didn't know how useful this thing would be it protects your hats so you can wash them and keep them looking nice and clean.
