I read several reviews about how this machine takes a long time to heat up and doesn’t fully toast the marshmallows. Maybe those people had a defective machine, but mine works just fine. It’s fully heated in under five minutes, and that might even be too long of a estimate. If the kids are old enough to have good control over their roasting sticks, you can squeeze four marshmallows over the heating coil. I was never one to joust my marshmallow down into the fire pit while camping. I always held it higher up so it melted through just as it developed a nice brown crust. This machine will give you exactly that. It maybe took about 2-3 minutes. It felt totally appropriate given the fact that this is not an open flame, and is meant to be a fun, table top contraption. I purchased mine for a party we were having but it arrived later than originally scheduled and didn’t arrive until after our party. I initially planned on returning it but decided to give it a try anyway just to see how well it worked. It’s now packed in our camping bin. So, in my opinion, this was a worthwhile purchase.

This product is amazing! My sons birthday party had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, so we turned our house into a campground and went “camping” indoors. This was such a great item that made it extra special. It heats up fast, roasts the marshmallows fairly quickly and I love the trays around it.I’m super happy with this purchase!!!

I really love toasted marshmallows but don’t have a fire pit, so I bought this. It takes a bit to warm up to a good temperature where the marshmallows start to melt inside. It also take a while to get the marshmallows the way I like them (completely toasted, almost burnt all around and melted all inside) and some practice. I don’t care much for the lazy Susan as I don’t make much S’mores and it’s big which takes up a lot of counter space, so I just use the burner and the skewers. But if you make S’mores, it’s nice to have as it has plenty of space for all your ingredients and spins pretty smoothly. Overall I really like this for my toasted marshmallows. Maybe I’ll find some other use for just the burner, like melting cheese or something.
