An Honest Veteran’s Take on the VIVOSUN 4x4 Complete System
As a grower with a decade of experience, I’ve seen the evolution of "Grow Kits." Ten years ago, you had to source your fan from a warehouse, your tent from a boutique shop, and your light from a specialist. VIVOSUN has changed the game by putting it all in one box, but after putting this 4x4 GIY Complete System through its paces, I have some professional insights you need to read before you click "Buy Now." The "Full House" Breakdown 1. The Tent (48"x48"x80"): This is the heart of the kit. The 80-inch height is a massive plus. If you are growing tall sativas or using the 5-gallon bags I recently reviewed, that extra vertical space is the difference between a successful harvest and light-bleached buds. The 600D canvas is durable, though as a pro, I always check the seams. 2. The Ventilation (6-inch 440 CFM Fan & Carbon Filter): This is where VIVOSUN actually over-delivered. Most 4x4 kits ship with a 4-inch fan that struggles to pull heat. This 6-inch combo moves 440 CFM, which is more than enough to "scrub" the air in a 4x4 every minute. It’s relatively quiet and the carbon filter is effective at neutralizing even the most pungent floral aromas. 3. The Light (VS1000 LED): Here is where we need a "Real Talk" session. The VS1000 is a fantastic, high-efficiency light using Samsung diodes, BUT it is a 100W light. In a 4x4 (16 sq. ft.) space, a 100W light is technically underpowered for a full-canopy flowering stage. The Pros The "Convenience Factor": You save about 15-20% buying this as a bundle versus individual components. Everything—from the hangers to the timer—is included. It’s a "just add seeds" solution. High-End Ventilation: The 6-inch fan is the star of this kit. It provides excellent negative pressure, which keeps the tent walls from bulging and ensures no smells escape. Ease of Assembly: One person can put this together in about 45 minutes. The poles are click-locked and the instructions are actually readable. Light Quality: Even though it’s 100W, the VS1000 has a great spectrum. It’s perfect for the vegetative stage or for growing high-quality greens and herbs. The Cons The Light/Space Ratio: If you plan to fill all 16 square feet of this tent with light-hungry flowering plants, the VS1000 won't give you the "edge-to-edge" PAR coverage you need. You will likely want to add a second VS1000 or upgrade to a VS4000 later. Pinholes: Like most mid-tier tents, you might see a few "starfield" pinholes along the zipper stitching. It’s not enough to cause a hermie (light toxicity) issue for most, but it’s something I always check for with a flashlight. The Zippers: They are heavy-duty, but they can "catch" the inner flap if you’re moving too fast. Take it easy on them. Overall Inputs & Pro-Tips This kit is the perfect "Foundational Purchase." If you are a beginner, this is the safest, easiest way to start without getting a degree in electrical engineering. Pro-Tip for Maximum Yield: Because the VS1000 is a bit small for a 4x4 footprint, concentrate your plants in the center 2x2 area of the tent during the flowering stage. This will keep them directly under the "sweet spot" of the PAR map. As you progress in your hobby, you can buy a second light, and because you already have the 6-inch fan (which can handle the extra heat), your tent is already "future-proofed." Pro-Tip for Smell Control: Ensure your ducting is pulled tight and has no sharp 90-degree bends. This keeps the 440 CFM fan running efficiently and quietly. Final Verdict: For a first-time grower or someone looking to set up a dedicated "Veg Tent," this kit is an A+. For a pro looking for a "one-and-done" high-intensity flower room, you’ll eventually want to supplement the lighting. Regardless, the quality of the components (especially the fan and the tent height) makes this a smart, high-value investment.

Follow the instructions and you won't have an issue
Excellent product no issues at all. I've seen reviews on this product saying frame didn't fit tent and or their tent ripped . I had neither issue and instructions are simple took me no more than 5 minutes by myself no rips or tears and frame fit perfectly. I'm disabled and had not one issue. This company has been around for a while and if you want quality I suggest you don't look any further.

Great product
Everything works well. I got a great harvest on the first season. My only complaint is that the exhaust fan seems to be struggling after only one season.

Please read before buying
Ive had this tent for a while now.. Set up was easy, although how to run inline fan was confusing as there were no setup ideas.. online solved that. The zippers are sturdy for me, however, there is light leakage from the material the zipper is sewed to. For bud growers, this tent is only 48in high, when growing, keep in mind height needed for growth. Your plant in VEG stage can only e 1/3 of height available or so. So, with 5 gal pot, (hopefully something to keep the planter from being directly on the bottom) and grow light dropping X amount of inches from top, you can only really grow a plant so high. the grow light is 100W. I know it makes it seem like the output is crazy better, but its still only 100W. for certain plants, you need 200W in a 2x2, 300w in a 3x3 and 400w in a 4x4 etc. (i was able to grow ok with 100W in 2x2, but not at all prime conditions. The light itself is super bright and very nicely made, puts out little heat (raises my tent about 5-7 degrees from outside tent temps) nicely made, feels quality. The inline fan/charcoal canister does a good job so far, havnt gone into flower yet, but it also helps maintain humidity and temps. net works fine for scrogging or drying. Light clips/hanging cords are solide, havnt had a single issue yet. snips are sharp and 5 gal buckets are solid. overall, 4 stars, as its good, but not perfect. space available for another light would leave them pressing against inside of fabric, so, youll probably only be able to grow one plant in there. but youll have room to add a humidifier and fan.

Sturdy
Very sturdy! Impressive quality. The tent fabric is very thick. The zippers are reinforced. The support poles are easy to put together. The instructions are written for every tent size they make, so you have to sort out which pages apply to your purchased tent. The provided instructions are only for the tent assembly. You have to go on their website for the electronics installation info, but everything there is very straightforward.

This is a recommendation from my experience so far.
This grow 10 is an excellent value for the price. I like it well had a couple issues with the zipper but nothing that couldn’t be resolved.
