GREAT Soap and Bay Rum Scent is Killer!
I was skeptical about Dr. Squatch mens all natural bar soap, but not anymore. This soap is truly awesome. First, all of the scents are masculine and smell fantastic. However, the Bay Rum is my favorite and is ridiculously good (their bay rum deodorant is even better smelling than the soap!). Second, the soap (or deodorant) doesn’t irritate my highly sensitive skin whatsoever, which is proof it is truly all natural. Third, it lathers really well and gets me squeaky clean…literally. Because it is so squeaky clean I can’t vouch for how moisturizing it is, but I also use body lotion right out of the shower so it doesn’t even matter. Fourth, I shower once every single day and a bar lasts about 3-4wks, but you HAVE to have a bar soap holder (preferably a wooden one) and keep it out of the spray of the shower when not in use to get the longevity. Otherwise, your soap is only going to last a couple of weeks tops.In conclusion, I’m now a believer in Dr. Squatch and will be using it from here on out. I like Squatch so much I now have bars in pine tar, gold moss, fresh falls, bourbon and cedar citrus scents…all…100%…killer!One last quick recommendation/piece of advice, pay the extra couple of bucks and order on Amazon using Prime vs. direct on DrSquatch.com. If you order direct from their site the shipping is INSANELY long. I’ve ordered directly from their website twice and each time it took 3+ weeks to receive my orders…and the products were “in stock.” I don’t wish this frustration on anybody so heed my warning 👍🏼

Great soap. Incredible smell.
When the package arrived, I opened the box and could smell the cinnamon and cloves. I immediately logged in to Amazon so that I could return it. I didn't want to smell like an older woman. I then decided to read some reviews and not be so hasty. After some consideration, I opened the plastic and smelled the soap up close. Wow! The pine and zesty orange came through and brought the scent up to manly status. This soap smells incredible! Bay Rum is quite an appropriate name. Sometimes I smell the soap just for the hell of it. It smells so good. Also, this soap produces a great lather and leaves your skin feeling soft and not lacking in moisture. The downside is the price. Almost $10 on Amazon is too much for me. I'd have to be single and making $175k to justify buying it as it will probably last you two weeks at best. You could buy a cheaper soap of similar ingredients minus the scent because after you rinse off, the smell is barely noticeable on your skin.I'll probably buy a bar once a year or so as a treat for myself. Otherwise, the price is out of my league. The bottom line is, Bay Rum is a great, high-quality soap that smells incredible, but is too expensive for the average Joe.

Damn good bar
Great soap! Don’t count this out for at least 2 weeks!!!!!!!!? Not what I expected. Very mild scent. I’m not prone to bathing every day. I made an extra effort with the bay rum. (I promised the wife) I used it head to toe with no other products for 14-15 days. Hair and all. No lotion. For the first 4 or so days, I could not smell the scent on my body. But... my bathroom smelled wonderful!!! (My 8 year old sons bathroom). It sudds up well. It smells great. Around day 10 I started smelling it on my body. The scent is REALLY mild. Don’t expect a weird body spray stink or even regular soap smell. You get a very subtle scent that is pleasant. My wife loves it. My 8 year old stole the last of the bar. His words. Dad, this smells like when we were in mexico. And I had my red drink. And you spilled that gross stuff on you. And momma had the banana stuff. And we were swimming. Which means.... momma had banana boat sunblock, boy had a virgin strawberry daiquiri/ piña colada aka Miami vice, and dad had a shot of sailor Jerry’s spilling off my lip and who gives a crap cause we were in Mexico. Don’t ask why I had a shot of sailor Jerry’s while snorkeling in Mexico. It was HOT!! Bay rum smells amazing. It cleans amazing. I’d highly recommend. Now we try the pine tar.

Good bar soap
I don't write reviews, but due to the sheer number of reviews complaining about longevity I figured I would give my insight.I bought this soap and it arrived Dec. 2, i used it the first time the next day. So from Dec. 3 to Jan. 11 and the photo above shows where it currently is at.Now for a preface. I have used bar and liquid soaps; bar soaps have been dove, lever, dial, and Irish spring; liquid have been Axe (most hated), Irish spring, and Old spice. I used liquid because I hated the film like feeling i got from all bar soaps i have ever tried, i used old spice for some time before I used this bar soap. I will compare this soap to all my experiences with both liquid and bar.Smell: Outright this smells amazing, but with how our noses work after sometime wearing it you wont notice the smell anymore. The after some time other wont as the product wears off. It doesn't have a cleaner like smell that liquid soaps, and unlike normal bar soaps it has a far more pungent smell.Skin feel: This was the best part, unlike all other bars soaps i don't have this weird film like texture on my skin AND my skin is far more moisturized. Liquid soaps did not feel moisturizing. So major win here.Longevity: It has lasted about as long as any bar soaps. I use a wash cloth, keep it away from running water, and place it on am elevated airing soap dish. I found that oz. per oz. though, my liquid lasted longer.Cost: Here is the part some also complain about. The thing is your paying a premium for a premium product. If cost is a deciding factor get brand name classic soaps. If you want a higher quality product you will pay more, this goes with almost anything you buy. Yes this cost $10 for a month, or just over a month, of cleaning power. You pay almost that for streaming music don't you? I am probably gonna get 1 1/2 months outta mine and I work in a kitchen 5 days a week...so no cost is not the big of a deal for me in comparison so quality. So all in all this is a very good product. Is it perfect no, I still would like it closer to $7ish per bar, but it is better than any other soap I have used. I will continue to use it. As for other products like shampoo and such. I use Crew and like it very much and have no intentions of switching. And remember...Happy Suddsing.
