i got this for the razor tool and the blades are definitely not sharp enough. it pulled on my hair and the strands would snap back when finally cut and created these tangles that were really difficult and painful to comb out and my hair doesn’t tangle like this normally ever. i should have just gotten the tool from a beauty supply store. this set will be good for you if you just need a basic kit and don’t plan to use it often. if you have plans to use them often and want quality, i would pass on this.

the scissors are large, hard to grab and hold. They do not open and close easily, so I was afraid to cut around the ears, in fear I'd cut one off. The cape is fine, barely fit around the neck. Its not the greatest quality to be honest.

I think for a set of home hair cut basics this gets the job done, but it's not an especially nice set. The scissors, and thinning shears are sharp enough, and average quality. The combs are the cheapest plastic garbage, I didn't know they made combs so thin and brittle. The cape doesn't fasten flat in the back, so it's hard to trim long hair with that obstacle.

To be quite honest, these shears arent anything to write home about. The thinners didn't work for me at all. The shears did, but I was trained to use the tips (dog groomer) and the tips bend the hair rather than cut.....for every 3-4 snips I might get 1 good one where they actually took off some hair. The combs will probably never be used by anyone. Well, I did give them to my toddler girls to play with. But for hair cutting, I doubt anyone will ever use them. The cape is thin and cheapy. The entire set is. I suppose they'll 'get er done' as far as home hair cuts go but there are better options out there.

This hair cutting set is great for trimming and cutting hair of any kind - I've used it to trim my split ends, as well as to trim up my dogs lol! Very sharp and cuts well.

This kit is perfect for me. I just started getting into wigs, and some need a cut. I am able to use this kit to practice on some cheaper wigs. It has everything I need to trim and cut wigs. The quality of the scissors, combs, and other tools is better than I expected. I have used them a lot, since I’m practicing, and I still don’t have any issues with how well anything works. I would definitely recommend this for beginners and professionals.
