The designs are beautiful and they don't look cheap. However, they are made a little cheaply. On the first day I wore this, I looked down after a few hours and noticed that the face was gone. Turns out the magnet detached from the base and the face/magnet both fell off. Luckly, they happened to stick to a radiator near where I was seated earlier in the day, so I was able to put them in my pocket. I super glued the magnet back into place and let it dry for a few hours. I have worn it 4 or 5 times since then, and have not had any issues.This was a little bit of a pain and could have ruined the entire product for me had I not found the magnet later on; however, I can't warrant taking away more than one star due to the price. If you simply spend the extra time to reinforce the magnet with super glue prior to the first use, you still get (functionally) four badge reels for a pretty great price. Plus, there is a one year warranty, so even if you do lose your magnet, you are (hopefully) able to get the whole kit replaced.

I recently bought a badge holder from a uniform shop and paid a little less than $10 for it...but it only lasted a couple of months! I have to swipe my badge multiple times a day and the alligator clip on the badge broke--I guess from the stress of it being pulled against. So, when I went shopping for a replacement, I was determined to avoid that type of clip. I learned to make a 'badge holder bar' on each of my scrub tops by simply pinning a large safety pin underneath and across the 'v' at the front neckline--leaving a solid 'bar' of metal upon which to attach my badge holder. The 'belt clip' on the back of this badge holder is PERFECT to clip across my 'holder', making it steady and secure. I am so very pleased with it--and the magnetic covers are so pretty with navy scrubs! I haven't had time to research it, but I am hoping they sell different clip tops for things like Christmas, Easter, etc. LOVE this badge holder!!!!

The backs are attached with a magnet and because of this I lost the water lilly one with in the first hour of wearing my badge which is upsetting because that was the whole reason I bought this set. If you're an active person at your job, I wouldn't recommend.

If I have to wear a name badge, this is my choice. Strong magnets keep the William Morris Tinker Tops or buttons in place, no issues with snagging, popping off, losing. The retractable reel I've used at least 100 times with no issues and it's very handy. The William Morris set is perfect because I can wear the buttons by season. Pink is for fall's leaves turning, blue is for winter's longer nights, white is for spring's leftover snow, bare branches and green is for summer. It's the little things. I'm not yet a collector of the Tinker Tops but I could be, they offer so many quality sets.

This Buttonsmith Louis Comfort Tiffany Tinker Reel Retractable Badge Reel With Alligator Clip is excellent ! Well made, it has a strong alligator clip. The reel works well. The buttons are beautiful ! The magnet is strong and the design is such that the buttons almost snap on. I have no worry about it coming off. It is that well made. I highly recommend. They carry many different styles , something for everyone !

Very cute and smart idea as the pins connect with magnets. Broke before I could even put it on. There's a safety pin on the back of the button and it came off when I tried to open it to pin it on. Disappointed...I want a refund.*edit: I contacted the owner and was provided with a replacement product right away. Very cute and did not break. Thank you!

I really love the idea of this reel’s interchangeable tops, but as a hospital RN I have my name badge plus several other laminated cards, plus my keychain sharpie, plus some pins...typical for the job but it’s a lot of stuff, for sure. The line on this reel just can’t handle the weight; I often finding it dragging or dangling.

Retraction is a bit soft and wonder how long it will last. Holds 2 ID's, 1 large key and 3 regular keys. Haven't had a cover pop off yet; magnet appears strong enough. I clip to my bra strap over my shirt at the shoulder and it stays. Covers pretty small so hard to see image. Disappointed that none of my mental health patients have happily commented on it. I wear it with only solid color shirts.
