Sweet story!
I bought it for my nieces son and he was offended because he thought it was too juvenile. He's five years old!

good match for 6-year old grandson
I bought this book for my 6-year old grandson. I thought it was perfect for his age as he is faced with so many new experiences such as team sports and entering school.

An all around great book to share with your child about fears and facing them.
SUMMARY: Toby wears a parachute wherever he goes. It helps him to get down from high places such as the top of his bunk bed and the chair at the breakfast table. It makes him feel safe when he goes high on the swings and comes down on the slide. But one day, his cat gets stuck high up in the tree above the tree house. Toby easily climbs up and floats the cat down on the parachute. This leaves him with a problem. How will he get down from the tree house without the parachute? Toby faces his fear in order to solve this sticky problem.ILLUSTRATIONS: The illustrations were created digitally. They are very creative and large on the page for younger viewers. The illustrator does a great job at showing height perspective from Toby's eyes making things look taller than they really are. The illustrations are eye catching and the details drew me in.REVIEW: This was an interesting tale about a boy who is afraid of heights, but finds a way (the parachute) to over come his fear in order to live his life to the fullest. And I love the fact that there is no instant lack of fear towards the end of the book when Toby faces his fear. Instead, Toby gradually takes more chances and uses his parachute less and less as he learns to feel safe without it. There is a bit of fantasy thrown into the illustrations, but it works because this is a story from Toby's eyes and mind. This is an all around great book to share with your child about fears and facing them. It's short and it's simple. Kids will love it.AGE RECOMMENDATION: Ages 4-8NOTE: I received free copy of this book from Library Thing and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
