The media could not be loaded. Even though we compost all our food scraps, I’m still not happy about all the wasted food. In part, it’s due to our storage methods, or lack of them. As much as I try, things like lettuce simply don’t last particularly long. The lettuce will wilt and brown around the edges a bit faster than I’d like. We like certainly types of lettuce like iceberg, but that’s a bit more prone to wilting than say romaine. I like romaine, but my husband is a big fan of iceberg, wilted or no. I often seen him having to toss the wilted or browning pieces in the compost bin.Mind you, the Food Saver has a similar air-removing system, but it’s a rather labor-intensive process to set up each time I’d want to reseal a jar. I used to have the jars, but no longer have them because of this problem. It might be worth it for longterm storage, but certainly not for things like fresh veggies like lettuce. The Ankomn Savior is ultra-easy to use and set up. The other half went into the Savior to make my comparison. Of course the lettuce in the bowl didn’t fare nearly as well over a week’s time as the one I sealed in the Savior. Supposedly things like fruits and veggies last 4X longer. Both were uncovered as needed to get lettuce for salads or sandwiches. I feel even if the Savior hadn’t been opened during the week, I’d still have the same result ... nice crisp lettuce.I’m not sure how long it would take before the lettuce would begin to show signs of spoiling, but I do know it is staying fresher for a much longer period of time. One other thing I do like is that the bottom has a thick silicone lining. I can feel comfortable putting it on the tempered glass in my fridge. It’s new and I certainly don’t want to add scratches to the surface. I’m totally enamored with the technology and functionality of the Savior. Not sure I’d invest such a hefty price, but then again, I feel it would pay for itself rather quickly, particularly if I used it to store any type of meat products.Sample provided for review.

I received one of these as a birthday gift and after one day the container stopped working. I use it for crackers at this point. I put them in a ziplock baggie first then into my container. ☹️

The media could not be loaded.  At first I thought this was an overpriced food container at over 50 bucks, but then I quickly did the math on how much food this container can potentially save just in a year. And not only can it potentially avoid spoilage, but improve quality of the food you store.In my video, I go over how this container works. Simply twist the top knob to expel the air from the container. Now, does this container create a perfect vacuum, which would be a container with no gas inside of it? I don't think so. I recently toured a lab with a working vaccuum, and it was a much more elaborate affair than this container. However, there is no doubt about it that a good deal of the air/gas is removed from this container when you twist the knob. Rest assured that it is under less pressure than the outside atmosphere, as the little rubber indicator button tells us so.I've found a nice freshness to the baked goods I've been storing in this container. Moisture is also nicely retained. I certainly wouldn't invest in three or four of these, but it's nice to have one in the kitchen for storing those things that have the greatest potential to either spoil or go stale.ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ  Spencer in Seattle original reviewI was provided a free sample in exchange for my honest review.

Love the products. Quality is great and the customer service is AMAZING! They are so easy to use, and really make the food last longer! It's super useful for leftovers, raw meet, and fruits. Strongly recommended. It's kind of expensive but definitely worth it for the long run!

ドッグフード用に購入。使用開始から１週間くらいは問題がなかったのですが、それからは、真空状態を維持するのは２〜３時間程度。いくら使い方の注意を忠実に守ってもダメです。他の方のレビューにもありますが、そのような状態で蓋を持って持ち上げて、蓋が簡単にはずれてしまい、中身が散乱してしまい大変です。今は、一応「真空」のダイアルは回しますが、単なるプラスチック容器として使っています。こんなことなら１００均で売っている同じくらいの大きさの容器に、乾燥剤を入れて使った方が良い。

ドッグフード入れてます。中がどのくらい真空になってるがわからないが、しけらないかな。入れ物のふちや蓋の周りに少しでも粉やカスがついてるとダメな模様。週1ぐらいでウエットティッシュで拭いてます。

ドックフードを入れていましたが、3回に一度くらい蓋が簡単に開いてしまい真空になっていない感じでした。子供は、どうしても上の丸い部分を持ち上げてしまうので真空になっていないと、開いて全てこぼれて、キッチンを大掃除するストレスが嫌でした。高いし買わなければ良かったです。

2つ購入しました。使い方が簡単で、手入れのしやすさもとても気に入っています。しゃれてるし。購入したうちの1つは、届いて間もなく真空機能に不具合が出て、1時間くらいで空気が入ってしまう状態になりましたが、販売元の対応も早く適切だったため、交換なしで不具合が解消できました。今後も使い続けたいですし、人にも勧めたいです。品物の良さと、販売元の対応の良さで満足の星5つです。

ふた部分の不良品が届きましたがショップの対応が迅速かつとても親切でした。丸い部分をを回すのみで空気を抜くことができて大変便利です。容器もしっかりしています。ただ蓋のパッキン部分がホコリを寄せ付けやすくデリケートにできているので星４個です。
