The 8GB memory should work in your macbook pro. I put the Timetec 16GB 1067 mhz ddr3 (2-8GB modules) in my mid 2010 Macbook laptop, and it seems to work well.

Bought a used 2009 late year IMAC that only had 4gb memory and can be upgraded to 16gm so I bought these and it was as easy as plug and play. Computer booted right up and moves much faster, works great.
