John Blake Talking with Female Serial Killers - A chilling study of the most evil women in the world

I was looking forward to reading this but I’ve struggled to find a reason to continue further than a few chapters. The book is poorly written and grammatically awful. There aren’t really any conversations with female serial killers just the odd quote here and there and though she features on the cover, Myra Hindley isn’t mentioned in any depth at all. The language is clunky and archaic and doesn’t flow. The thing that bothered me the most was the authors constant need to mention the appearance of the killer, either being stunningly attractive or gross and porcine, when these had little or nothing to do with the crimes they committed. Very distasteful too that the author seemed to revel in recounting how many of his ahem ‘interviewees’ had some sort of sexual attraction towards him. Don’t waste your money.

Not what it says on the front page ; if you are expecting in-depth interviews with lady killers don’t bother with this book poorly written vey disappointing read .

I thought this book would be very well written and informative so I was disappointed when I could only manage to read half of the book before getting so fed up with the type errors and the opinionated comments by the author of the book. Very difficult to follow especially when one of the names of a victim changes from Louise to Louis to Buddy. Not a good read for an academic or anyone with a good level of intelligence. Don't bother with this book, it's a waste of time.

Seriously, the author is the most sanctimonious man I’ve ever come across (by book of course!)He name drops so easily, and chapter to chapter I don’t know who the hell he’s talking about.Very Braggy, just a cock show in my opinion.

This was a great book and an interesting read. Given MH is on the front cover, I expected it to be about her, but it isn't. It is all about the people (ladies convicted of multiple murder) that the author has met and interviewed. Is it shocking in places... yes. But given the subject matter would you expect anything else. It has a fascinating read, and I would try other books by the same author.
