Effects after 3 days of taking it for IBS-C: * smooth 💩 twice a day vs awful strained constipated 💩 only twice a week * no bloating, strain, gas I've been reading Dr. Davis' book Super Gut and have been watching videos of people fermenting fruit with S Boullardi so I decided to try it out for myself. Pills are good, but getting an active strain from a food source is so much better. Plus, you get 10x or more the amount of CFUs and it's more cost effective. I tried fruit fermenting with my Jarrow brand SB I'd been taking and nothing had happened. It was dead. Can't believe I paid $41 for it and I've been taking literally silicon dioxide at a premium price. So I read reviews and decided to try this brand. Love that the only ingredient in the capsule is S Boullardi. Not a fan of additives especially the magnesium stearate that's in other brands like the insanely expensive Florastor. Now keep in mind that if you culture in apple sauce or fruit juice (S Boullardi LOVES the fruit sugars in them), you need to buy pasteurized ones with no additives or stabilizers. Best juice to culture with is one with pulp. I went with a Sprouts brand where the ONLY ingredient is organic apples. Of course, you can culture SB in any kind of fruit. I've seen it done with bananas even, which is very cost effective. For directions on how to do countertop ferments of S Boullardi, check Dr. Davis and others on YouTube. So I opened 2 capsules of Pure Therapro Rx in a 24-oz jar of apple sauce and 2 capsules in a 32-oz bottle of apple juice. Mixed them in with a clean utensil. Within 2 hours, I had bubbles forming in both. Which is a sign that the yeast is active and live. The apple sauce was fermenting so vigorously, it tried to escape the jar 😆 and I had to move it to a bigger one with a burping lid. So don't waste your money on other brands that may be feeding you dead SB. This brand is the way to go. Btw, I am in no way associated with the manufacturer of this product. Update: I've been taking this product for about a year now. And I take 2 capsules every morning. I tried to taper off of it, but I started getting stomach aches. So I realized I needed it everyday and I got back on and the stomach aches ceased. I had very bad candida issues for over a decade and nothing got rid of it, except this product. It is the reason that I no longer have candida issues. This, as well as a few other supplements and figuring out what I could and could not eat, have healed my gut. It all took a while, but once I was able to eat more w/o stomach issues, I stopped losing weight, which was great because I was too thin. I've started to gain weight and my energy has increased and is back to normal. I worked closely with a healer during this process and that helped. The other supplements I take that either I or he found and that work great for me are: Ion Gut Health; Dr. Ohhirra's professional strength probiotics; Herbal Aloe Force [for stomach issues] ; Pure Synergy Enzyme Power; and, Nyture Natto [a Japanese fermented soybean food which is great if you've taken antibiotics]. The background is that I had to take antibiotics for an infection about five months ago and even though I took probiotics during it [not this kind] I still had stomach issues. Then I got Giardia from a relative's pet who had it. Yikes. I was sick for weeks and weeks and even after the giardia was killed off, I had cramping and gas and no appetite and felt nauseated much of the time. I lost alot of weight and I'm already thin. So divine guidance led me to take SB [not kidding, I saw an image when I was at my weakest]. I took Jarrow, which I liked, then I ran out of that and had to get some right away from the drugstore and I got Florastor. The name brand. But Florastor made me nauseated. Not sure why. Possibly because it has lactose. So then I got this because it doesn't seem to have additives. I took some last night and woke up feeling better than I have in weeks. I took some this morning as well.. I'm also taking Restore the gut health supplement. I think its going to be a somewhat long road back, but my digestion was bad before I got giardia and the giardia imbeds in the intestinal wall. Restore repairs the intestinal wall. And the SB has been miraculous for me. I went from constant stomach pain and gas and zero appetite to actually wanting to eat and having less and less pain. No reason to ever be without this. I've read that SB is completely out of one's system after 5 days, so I'll never run out. This brand is much cheaper than Florastor. And in my experience, better.

I saw improvement within 1 week. Now I'm on week 3 and see a drastic improvement on my SIBO with no sideeffects.

This is a good probiotic for anyone with mild GI symptoms. It doesn’t solve all my problems entirely but it’s beneficial if you have candida or too much bad gut bacteria, especially if you don’t respond well to traditional probiotics.

Worked for me for about 3 weeks. Then it stopped. This is not something I can take every day and I don't think , maybe not supposed too. Now I take if I start having issues and when things clear up I quit.
