I bought my hydrangea from the "left for dead" clearance section. I brought it home and brought it back to life. I fed it the Dr. Earth food and WOW! An explosion of new buds.... after only 1 use! I could see the difference after 1 use. This is great stuff! Now I use it at least 1=once per month. I live in No. CA so it can get hot & dry but I did find a shady party in my yard and it's really doing well!

I bought this product to use with Blueberry and Raspberry bushes that were on the property of a home we purchased. I have no idea if it is any better than anything else on the market but the formula seemed like it might help the grossly neglected bushes. I applied the product in early March just as they were starting to leaf out and will give them another treatment when they bloom and a third treatment in late fall. If they respond to the formula I will update my evaluation here. Update: There was enough product in 1 bag to do 1 application for 15 Blueberry plants and a 15 X 5ft strip of Raspberry's. I applied the product in March and another in mid June along with a little Aluminum Sulfate to PH the soil. Last Summer I got about one big bowl of Blueberries. This year I already have 4 times that much and still going. Same results with the Raspberries. I am impressed with the improvement after just 2 applications. This really jump started both the Raspberries and Blueberries. Both types of plants look healthier and have larger berries. I upgraded my score to 5 stars and will be using this product again next year. For the late Fall application I will use what ever garden fertilizer that is left over to sustain them over the Winter. I don't think you can go wrong with the Dr.Earth for your Blueberries and Raspberries.

The product does work. It did refresh a sad looking rhododendron so I have no doubt about how good it is. But it smells like food to squirrels, skunks, and I think racoons. And all 3 love to dig. If you are going to use this stuff you must mix it with cayenne pepper (as the beasties hate that), or face your plant roots being torn apart by claws when you are not looking. Or at least sprinkle cayenne over the plant base once you have done watering in your fertilizer. Really, Dr. Earth should be adding in cayenne or chilli powder as standard to this stuff to keep critters at bay.
