Great but app needs improving
This is a Great Camera "But it does have some faults with the App". I've been looking for a good ip camera and I've had cheap ones and I've got other ones for another big well known company motorola who's picture quality is bad. Back to this yale camera the picture quality it's great I use it on the standard definition, even when your remotely moving the camera it's good picture quality. You can turn off the ir night lights so you can see out a window at night if outside is well lit up. You can use a Free Dropbox account to get security motion alerts uploaded "Instantly" (need to have micro sd card installed) which works great so any burglar etc, footage will be stored online doesn't matter if the smash the camera (your internet speed may affect the "Instantly" I have the up to 32mb ;) when you consider that other companies will charge you a monthly fee like motorola to have this feature. It was very easy to setup with wifi you'll have to turn off the wifi only in the app account if you want to view it with mobile data. You can use the app to control the camera, take pictures, start recording video etc.The bad points:The app seems to work better with android for getting the instant alerts it's not doing it with iphone (you can setup email alerts) I emailed yale about this they did respond but it's all went quite! It doesn't do well with keeping the correct time even after you've sync it, seems to want to be about an hour ahead. The sound quality is to low when trying to listen through the app, seemed a little better with the uploaded video footage on Dropbox. It can be sometimes be slow to connect but I tend to go back and reconnect.Summary: I am a verified purchase, I seen it on yale website and could only find one youtube review which the guy rated it so I went for it, yes it has some faults but hopefully Yale can get them sorted and do some updates mainly for the iPhone app then this can be a super great camera which we all want and it could be a great seller, So Come on Yale,,, I even got a second camera for a friend.

Effective little ptz WiFi camera
Generally decent quality image, particularly if HD selected. Night vision is so so and the auto switching sensor can be tricked if it sees a bright light. Motion detection seems rather hit an miss (still experimenting to try an optimise this feature). The bundled software is a little clunky but does the basics; BUT beware: it is very space resource hungry when the camera is active, heating up your laptop or iPAD and very quickly running down its battery power! Overall this camera works well for the price.

First Yale camera purchase, hopefully first of many!
Bought this device device for use in a baby’s nursery. Whilst there are loads of similar devices on the market, other reviews aside I figured the Yale brand should be a safe choice. Also this camera has an Ethernet point, our house is wired (by myself) for cat5 everywhere. I’m always dubious of too many devices like this on WiFi, especially as BT WiFi Boxes have very little clout for multiple WiFi devices.Setup via the iPhone app was very simple, create user name and account, etc - very easy. Within 10 minutes setup was complete and we were viewing!Picture quality is very good, rotation on the camera’s axis minimises setup faf. Camera set to switch into night vision automatically as default - again a nice touch. iOS app very good and works well on my iPhone 6 and wife’s ageing 5S. Works on our iPad Mini as well - although you need to download the iPhone app.I’ve noticed that there is Dropbox support for recording footage and an SD card slot for a similar purpose - in all honestly I haven’t tested and won’t be using each features. I personally thinking recording of footage is too much to expect for a single camera. To us at the moment this is a glorified baby monitor and a very good one!I’ll definitely by a couple more for around the house and maybe consider the full 4 Camera BNC cctv system - Yale claim their homeview cameras such as this can interface with their full cctv systems - a full ecosystem.Again, great item, but, be clear why you are purchasing.

Just received this ip camera and initially it all seems good but the ios app can lock up now and then. The Dropbox feature is good but only seems to store videos and photos in SD so the quality is bad. Strange as on the ios app you can choose SD or HD.But the worse thing is that the volume is so dam low you cannot here a thing indoors, even at full volume on the app !Others can only just hear you the only way if you shout loud enough.Seems quite hard finding one that ticks all the boxes and works as intended.

Best of the sub £100 cameras
Great value and features but still has trouble connection, although alert email with Still photo comes through. Great way to check false house alarm
