Laughter, tears and relatable characters!
I had been looking forward to this book coming out since the summer when I read Holly’s extract in Hannah Witton’s book ‘Doing It’. When the book finally arrived on my doorstep I started reading and couldn’t put it down.I have never related to a character as much as I relate to Audrey Winters. I could completely understand everything the Audrey did through the book. All of her actions made sense to me because this book shows an accurate depiction of love, rather than the one we’re shown in dramatic romantic films. Audrey isn’t a straight forward character and this isn’t a straight forward romance novel. Audrey struggles with romance, she’s never too sure if her feelings and can’t easily read signs of romance.Audrey’s romantic interest Harry is much the same, he’s far from perfect. Harry is your typical boy, the one you know in real life who’s a bit of a flirt and a player. Harry isn’t Mr Darcey, he’s more rough around the edges but that doesn’t mean you don’t fall for him. He’s got that charm about him, I think all girls have come across a Harry at some point.I found myself laughing, crying and cringing for the characters throughout the book. Having worked at a cinema for more than 2 years I found all of the scenes in the cinema hilariously accurate. I can relate to Audrey’s pain of having to deliver a hot dog to an I thankful customer in a screen and the dread of Marvel movie opening weekend. In the end I’m not really sure how I felt. By that I mean when I finished the book I felt a bit of an odd mixture of emotions. I love that this book breaks the stereotypes of traditional romances and I applaud every decision that was made my Audrey in the book, even the final one, but that doesn’t mean that longing for things to have turned out differently. This book is an absolute must read for all young adults. Bourne tackles themes in the book head on a doesn’t skirt around any of the topics she wants to talk about wether that’s the realities of sex or periods. This book will challenge your opinion of love and romance and will have you questioning your enjoyment of any romantic films in the past.

okay, but not great chick lit/YA
This was an okay YA/Chick lit book for me. I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it.Audrey has basically given up on love, guys and hates romantic comedies all because of her parents' breakup and the way she got dumped by her boyfriend. It's basically the typical girl meets bad boy, convinced she would never fall for him, then does until inevitably he hurts her... but how will she deal with that?Mixed in was the filming of a zombie movie in which Audrey acts and the bad boy directs and acts... I don't care for zombies, but that didn't matter for this story.

Check the page numbers
I should start by saying the star rating is not on the story. I Bought this for my daughter last summer to take on holiday but got left behind (luggage allowance), but she took it away last week and was really enjoying it up to page 48, when it skipped to page 97, then at page 144 it skipped back to page 97 again. So if you buy the book check the pages straight away as it was to late for her to return it. She is buying it again.

Great read
I loved this. It's the second Holly Bourne book I've read (the other being 'Are We All Lemmings and Snowflakes?' which was also great) and I love her writing style, her humour and the realistic portrayal of teen relationships and issues. I wish Holly Bourne had been writing when I was a teen!

Good romance
I liked this book because it didn’t take to long for the story to progress but I was sad at the ending but that is my personal opinion. This book is for teens as it has references to things that under 12 year old may not understand.
