A disappointing buy
I hate to say it but this book is so disappointing compared to the beautiful and flavoursome meals from her other books.I used several of her books for weaning my children and would have made many recipes into dishes for the whole family to enjoy together. Now that my children are past infancy I wanted to expand on the variety of meals to offer them and I assumed that this recipe book would offer the same type of quality meals as the others. Alas, quite a few recipes are really not nice, whereas others seem just thrown together with a whole lot of thyme thrown in for good measure (my advice is to go easy on it as it really made a few of the meals unpalatable). A few vegan friendly alternative ingredients are suggested for some recipes, but nothing on the whole for children with food intolerances which the Amazon book description suggested. We have enjoyed some recipes from this book but unfortunately these have been outweighed by the number we did not. I am continuing my search on Amazon for a healthy recipe book my whole family can enjoy and which provides a wide variety of alternatives for those with food intolerances.

Quick, healthy and easy!
Great book! I'm always pressed for time and have a picky eater who rarely eats his five a day, so this offers just what I need on all these fronts. The recipes aren't complicated and are really varied, including all the sorts of foods kids tend to love. Also, they're great for the whole family - and my child is keen to help me cook them, which is an added bonus.

Not quite what I was looking for...
I have a young toddler (not yet 2) who is going through a very fussy eating phase. I’m looking for a cook book with ideas specifically for this age group and tips for managing fussy behaviour. To me, this book has some lovely recipes but is more of a family cookbook (eg first recipe is a whole roast chicken - great for a family dinner but not practical for a quick weekday supper for a fussy 2yo). There is a short intro at the beginning with sound bites like “make time to eat together” but not much practical advice for overcoming fussy behaviour. So overall, a nice cook book but not specific enough for me.

Tasty, Healthy recipes all the family enjoy
This is my favourite Annabelle Karmel book. We use it a lot and the whole family enjoy the meals. Our favourite is the chicken and vegetable pasta. Lovely light meal that’s easy to make and really feels like you’ve had a good healthy meal. Even better when it includes ingredients we can pick from our allotment garden. Some recipes could have done with some photos but still a great book and always recommend to friends.
