works as described.
The item is well built, properly packed, and was delivered earlier than expected. Reading my 2 SD Cards simultaneously. Transfer speed is decent for me (like 3.5Gb in less than 2min). Satisfied with my purchase.

4/10
After seeing all the reviews i had a great expectation. Unfortunately, the CF slot when start copying data keep disconnecting from the PC which didn’t happen with the SD. And after just 3 days of usage the body of the reader started to fall down.

Couldn’t get it to work
Looks neat and matches the other peripherals for my iMac.Unfortunately never managed to get it to work. Not recognised my my Mac and no instructions other than ‘plug it in’ came with it. Internet searches to try and fix the problem also unsuccessful.Bought to transfer photos on micro SD cards from my android phone but eventually succeeded in doing this using Android File Transfer app but that wasn’t straightforward either requiring several hours of searching for fixes to ‘device not recognised’ messages.

Best, most solid reader yet
As soon as you slide in the CF card especially, you know this is a good quality well designed unit... It feels right with a reasuring well guided soft click, as the card locks into place. The 3.0 gets right to work with amazing speed, and all three cards can be loaded and read simultaneously.Outstanding performance and I've just got my 3rd unit to travel with. I have recommended to all of my friends, too.

It works
It works most of the time but long running transfers fail sometimes as the reader disconnects from the USB socket randomly. For example, copying a multi-megabyte image to the reader works but a full format of an SD card (64GB) can fail. It seems to work fine for writing images that only take a few minutes so its good enough for me and it was not expensive. It could even be the socket on my PC although I do backups to other USB devices that take about an hour with that socket and they complete without an issue. In any event it works fine for writing the Raspberry Pi images I have so it is fine.

Almost perfect
Great little device, works perfectly. It is very light and connected by a short (30 cm) USB cable, which is quite stiff. When using a USB hub with ports facing upwards (like my Orico unit), this device won't lie flat on my desk as the cable keeps it at a lopsided angle. This isn't a problem with horizontal ports. If I were buying again, I would go for the same model but with the 120 cm cable.

It works
I bought this after buying a new camera that uses CF memory cards. I ordered this card reader before realising that it had a USB 3 plug which didn’t fit my 2022 MacBook Pro so, I had to re order one with a Thunderbolt 4 plug.
