The base plate looked used and damaged. In less than 2 days it became rusted with spots.

Excellent playground for my budgie!
I have put the playground on top of a small travel cage where the roof opens through a large door. My budgie LOVES it, he jumps on the swing, sits on all the perches, and even climbs the ladder.
