Crayola Model Magic 4-Ounce, Blue

Having bought previous cheaper brand this one was not as malable, maybe too dry but kids still enjoy.

Good sized packet. I liked it because it was very soft and malleable out of the packet... I used it to make some paw prints from a now deceased beloved cat. It was the perfect combination of softness yet ability to retain the print when dry.Pros:Easily shaped, retains impressions well.Useful format, less wastePaintable with acrylic or poster paintsCons:Takes some time longer than the 72hr indicated to air dry. My little paw print discs, about 3/8" thick, took over a week in a cupboard to solidify.Does stick to some tooling, for example I used a biscuit cutter to cut the discs, and found that the only way to get them to release was a thin coat of mineral oil on the cutter.Suggestions:Roll out into thinner sheets. Ignore the base colour, as it is easily paintable.Store in high quality ziploc bags, and squeeze all possible air out of unused paste.Don't be fooled by cheaper dollar store alternatives that look very similar... they are almost unmanageable.Buyer beware: check each package as soon as received... if there is a tiny leak of air... the product will be unusable even if it looks ok at first glance.

Worked great for making footprints of my infant son. The Crayola Model Magic dried in 3-4 days, yet maintained some flexibility so they did not break when the dried footprints were mailed to out of state grandparents.
