I am a fan (pun intended) of poop color Noctua fans. they are extremely quiet and cannot be overheard over my whining CPU cooler.

I like to use things until the very end of their lives and didn’t intend to replace my 9 year old NZXT case fan until it stopped working entirely. But after a few months of it sounding like it was trying to drive a floppy disc, I decided it was time.After installation of the Noctua fan, noise level went to zero. Even while it’s running CPU- & GPU-intensive programs and/or my computer is at 100% utilization, this case fan is inaudible over ambient household noise.I’m not an RGB “fan” so this suits me just fine. It doesn’t match my setup at all, but I honestly prefer this mid-upgrade “jank-chique” charm.It was easy to install — it includes rubber stoppers in lieu of screws that ensures it runs even more quietly. That was a pleasant surprise, along with the extra fan cables meant to accommodate any case size.It has been keeping my case much cooler on average because, you know, it actually works.I’ve done my research over the years, and Noctua case fans really outperform their price. 10/10 overall.

The Noctua NF-F12 PWM comes with a package of mounting screws, vibration resistant mounts, a 30 cm 4-pin cable extension, 4-pin y splitter, and a low noise adapter (LNA). The LNA is used to limit the maximum fan speed and which limits the noise produced by the fan. I imagine this would be handy in an older computer which isn’t equipped with automatic fan speed control.The included splitter cable allows you to connect both fans to a single fan header and lets the main board control the speed of both fans simultaneously.These fans perform well at low speeds, and are barely audible when functioning in this mode. You can hear them at startup and at higher speeds, but that’s to be expected. I’m so impressed with these fans, I’ve replaced all five fans in my computer case with Noctua brand fans.Cons: None, unless you want RGB fans or don't like the color. A bit more expensive than others, but it is a premium fan and worth the price imo.Pros: Excellent cooling performance even at low speeds. Very quiet at most speeds during normal operation. Excellent customer support and a 6-year warranty.

If you're on the fence - buy these now.Bought these to replace the plastic crap that came with my Thermalight Peerless Assassin. Taking these out of the packaging - you feel the quality. They have everything you need in terms of cables. You will need to keep those metal clips if you're installing these as CPU fans. These things are SILENT even while gaming. My PC is finally as quiet as I always wanted it to be.I always just used fans supplied by the case, CPU etc. I want to replace my case fans with these and my case fans are not an issue.The only noise from my PC now is my 4070 and a 4TB HDD I have yet to replace.
