The Berenstain Bears and the Truth

This one is nice, but...
Be aware of the never books which are religious and archaic at best. This one however is written by the original author, and has a nice morale to it. There's no shaming in the book, and it has a nicely written story and old style pictures

Great
This story is easy to follow for my 3 year old daughter to learn what honesty is.We tried 'honesty counts' another book in the range, but found it confusing for a child of her age.

Great Story with a moral
The trouble with a lie is "No matter how hard you wish, no matter how hard you try, you can't make truth, out of a lie". Lovely story suitable for all children 4-5 years or older who can understand the difference and the implications of not telling the truth. If only all disasters could be fixed with a bit of glue!

Great for introducing discussion about truth telling
This is a brilliant book for tackling truth telling, both my daughters (4 & 5) identified with the bears and could see that mummy bear was very sad that her children had not told the truth. I think that as they get older get the more they will understand the breaking of trust element at the end of the book.
