I originally gave these 3 stars but I ordered them in 2019 and am now writing an updated review in 2023. These have been with me through 2 apartments. I have gotten more compliments on them than most anything else decorating either apartment! It is easy to change the art in them, which I tend to do often.I paid full price and thought they were expensive just for (admittedly cheap metal) frames but I suppose that the enjoyment and compliments I've gotten from/for them over the years has/have been worth it. If you're on the fence, let this be your sign to get them. I do not remember if there was any assembly required or if it was difficult. I don't use the big balls to hang them just a tiny nail and the ring - as seen in the image I'll attach.I will say - it is DIFFICULT to get the picture in the glass to be straight without using any tape or adhesive. It just takes time and patience and some practice. I'd recommend taking both pieces of glass out, laying them out flat, arranging picture therein that way, then sticking both back in with the paper sandwiched between as opposed to trying to do it with one piece of glass still in the frame then sliding the other in on top of the photo/print.Now that I see they're on sale, I want more, but have no room to hang more! Still considering it...Hope this helps!

What the SPCA may forget to tell you when you adopt a cat is that many cats really love the force of gravity - by which I mean some cats relish knocking random (usually breakable) objects off high places and then watching them crash. Thus, after adopting my 2 cats, I quickly learned it was likely a better idea to remove as much clutter off table tops and cabinets as possible. Which led me to these frames -I wanted to remove frames from my furniture tops and hang them safely on the wall instead. What I love about this frame set is how easy it is to add your photos to the frames and hang - everything is provided. The frames are 2 sheets of glass in a metal frame. They come with these silicone "stoppers" - so it's easy to remove the 2 sheets of glass, place your photo inside, then replace the silicone stoppers to prevent the glass (and your photo) from shifting in the frame. The frames come with the chain already attached. Then the manufacturer includes 3 large bolts or 'tacks" to affix the chain + frame to your wall. It was so easy that I got carried away and didn't even measure how I should hang the frames on the wall - with what distance apart etc. So my composition could use some work. ... As others have mentioned, the frames are intended for 4 x 6 inch photos, but there will be some space in the frame left-over. The manufacturer has even placed a paper "photo" on the glass already centred - so all I did was affix my photo to the paper "photo" with double sided tape. I didn't go for custom matting - I think it looks fine the way it is. I love these so much I think I am going to order another set.
