It says it is 15.4 inches therefore will it fit in a medium green egg since it measures 16 inches?

16" wide at widest part including the attached struts, which unfortunately means it can fit my medium big green egg only if grilling without the conveggtor/heat shield used for indirect smoking. If the plate setter is in, this no longer fits.

I saw the dimensions of the package but what is the exact size of the grate?

Off hand, we do not have the dimensions. The grate fits in a large GreenEgg cooker.
