Everything is nice about the monitor
I just got this stand. I have two acer monitors, models AL2016W. Everything is nice about the monitor, except it cannot support the weight on the monitors. The "X" bracket that screws onto the back of the monitors is adjustable to pivot in all directions. Problem is the weight of the monitors just makes them fall and angle down. I am typing right now with it and I have to crouch down on the desk to see what I am writing. I already have a headache. You can't tighten them in place to prevent unintended swiveling.I will likely dab some glue in the swivel ball to make it sticky and hopefully keep them in place.Very annoying considering they are almost $100.

Watch out for 2 issues, but a nice stand for a very good price if you can tolerate them
I mounted two HP V242h 24" monitors to this mount and I am quite satisfied. There are two issues that you should be aware of before you purchase this stand.1) The mounts do not allow you to pivot the monitors. If you intend to switch a monitor from landscape to portrait orientation and back again, this stand is not for you. The VESA mount is on a slotted sphere that prevents rotation, not a perfect ball that would support it.2) The instructions do not tell you how to tighten the VESA mount to prevent monitor droop. Most likely you will need to tighten the VESA mount bolt with a 1/2" wrench or socket (not provided) to stop the monitors from drooping to an unacceptable angle. This bolt cannot be tightened if a monitor is already attached to the mount.I suffered the monitor droop, just like another reviewer, after assembling everything. I had to remove the monitors and torque the bolts correctly to fix the problem. Worse, one of the mounts had been assembled so that the slots in its sphere were not aligned correctly in its base. This prevented the mount to be correctly square with the base. I had to disassemble the mount, file the sphere a little to fix the scratch that the misalignment had made, reassemble the mount with the correct orientation, and then torque it down to prevent monitor droop.Overall, my assembly was a little aggravating, but the stand was very inexpensive, sturdy, and otherwise of acceptable quality.
