Soft Touch Track Mat

I purchased 3 of these about a year and half ago. For us, they work great at keeping the large amount of litter that used to get on the floor off the floor. We still have some, but no where near the amount as before. In one bathroom I have 2 litter boxes facing each other so I put one of these between them with the fronts of the boxes sitting slightly on it and it works. Yes, the litter boxes are tilted a bit but since we've used it for over a year, the cats don't have a problem with it. Each time we clean the litter box, we just life off the top of the mat, dump the litter back into the litter box and we're ready to go. Great product.

Great mat! My cats sniffed around it for a while but did not mind it all..It is very practical and easy to clean and it definitely made my life much easier!!I use to have it right in front of my Cat Genie 120 and it looked and blended in perfectly.Great price and it was the only place i could get this mat from that shipped to APO when i was overseas so thumbs up!! At first glance this mat seems theoretically sound. However, in my circumstances it failed the practical test.1. My two cats both avoided the mats at all costs. They are hard and seemingly uncomfortable on their feet. In order to force the issue I bought additional mats as to make it nearly impossible to avoid them. However, one of my cats decided to do his business outside the litter box rendering the issue mute and providing me an even worse mess to clean up.2. One of my cats is what most people would consider very large boned (never misses a meal). When done doing his business he can become a little over zealous in his covering and some of the dropping land on the mat or floor. While the mat saves me from the hassle of cleaning the floor, I am forced to clean the mat and with its design that isn't an easy task.3. Because of the cats reluctance to step onto the mat I still had a noticeable amount of litter to clean up4. During my daily cleaning of the cat box I had to move and clean the mats first. Then the cat box and then the floor because of the cats not walking on the mat and dumb human (me) spilling some during the cleaning process.5. In an effort to make this work I have bought extra mats and treated them as disposable in a vain attempt to keep the area more sanitary. My only accomplishment was spending more of my hard earned money.Please note that if you have only one cat and he/she doesn't mind a cattle grate crossing to enter their litter box, you might be able to keep about sixty percent of the litter off the floor. But if you are in the same boat as many cat parents, you probably have a very finicky cat and changing the litter box routine may not be so easy. I am still looking for an easier solution than daily (sometimes twice a day) cleaning of the floor.

I've tried a couple of different litter mats, but a friend of mine had one like this that I could never find until recently. This one works much better for me. The mats I've used before would get gross after a while and too difficult to clean. One of my cats doesn't like to step on them, but will still use it as her personal litter box. With this track mat, it's easy to clean, if need be, and does a good job at eliminating the amount of litter that spreads. Luckily, my cats don't make too much of a mess as long as I maintain daily upkeep, but this is definitely better than the others. The shipping took longer than expected, to the point where Amazon notified me that they may cancel the order. Luckily, it didn't come down to that and once received I had no issues!

Why an oval shape? Most litter boxes are rectangular, and this mat does not complement them. My cats have jumped every which way to avoid standing on the mat; it seems to unnerve them, since it is (in concept) a cattle guard type device. Something with a checkerboard type filter would probably be less unpleasant to them, and would give better support, especially to large or heavy cats.The concept is excellent; in theory I wouldn't have to sweep the floor anymore. But to be effective, the mat needs to be large enough so that my litter box could sit in the center of it with the mat edges extending quite a bit outward, on all sides, so that my cats have to step on it.

I love my cat, but I'm not a fan of cat litter strewn across the floor.I heard from a friend that this mat would solve my cat litter problems! Well, not entirely but it does help. Cat litter ends up everywhere, especially if there's no carpet to catch it! I got this mat in order to contain it.I'd like one 3x this size for the litter pan. Why not just create a big one--I'll buy it! My cat does not mind stepping on it, but if she had to walk on it longer there would be more opportunity for more cat litter to fall off--right? I still have to sweep daily if I don't want to see or step on cat litter everywhere.
