Omega Paw Paw-Cleaning Litter Mat, Grey

I use it with the Omega litter box that I keep on the balcony. Together they team up great in keeping the place clean. My cat had babies recently and since she got big, she has become quite sloppy, particularly with the litter. So, after reading a lot of reviews, I bought both the Omega box and the mat, to make my life easier. The change was miraculous! I believe the mat won't be so efficient with other litter boxes because it was designed to complement the litter box of the same brand. It's hard for a cat to jump out the Omega litter box, over the mat. The mat doesn't scare or hurt the feet of the mother cat and the babies like to sleep on it. There is no litter around the box any more, although I don't have time to clean the mat regularly. It's very easy to clean, though. It is a great product I highly recommend... but use it with the Omega litter box!

Works as intended, unless the cat decides to jump right over it as it is not that large (if you have a closed box, this is an even better product). I have wood floors, and found this this is definitely worth having in front of the litter box to keep him from tracking litter all over from his paws. Also its cute.

It looks like this paw mat is hit-or-miss depending on the cat, but it works well for us. The mat has little stand-up ridges and dots that help get the litter debris off your cat's paws. We bought it to go with the Omega Paw Litter Box; and although the mat doesn't catch *all* litter debris, it does successfully trap about 60%. I do wish it were a bit bigger so it could trap more. It covers about the same area as a typical dish towel folded in half.Our kitty does not jump over the mat or try to avoid stepping on it. The reason for this may be that she has used the paw mat exclusively since the we rescued her, so she has never known a towel on the floor versus this mat. She probably just thinks this is how her litterbox is set up; or, more likely, she really doesn't mind how the mat feels.This mat is made of flexible, grippy plastic that doesn't scoot around on the floor; if you have a problem with it scooting around, you could stick the flat end under the edge of the litter box. It's SO easy to clean: just take it outside (or hold it over a trash can) and bend it outwards and tap it a few times, and all the debris falls away.If this mat were larger, it would get five stars. I would recommend it if 1) your cat hasn't grown accustomed to using a towel to track litter debris, or 2) your cat is very easygoing and isn't terribly picky (ha!).

Very happy with this purchase. My cats were getting litter (and sometimes even their business) all over the floor and surrounding areas of their litter box which was never a fun mess to clean up. The little grooves in this mat are perfect for collecting the bits of litter and anything else those pesky cats drag out of their litter box. One time my cat even peed on the mat and it was such a breeze to clean up (again b/c of the grooves) you just rinse it right off. Plus it's cute in the paw print shape and picture of a cat on it.

I ordered this few days ago, packaging was protective and it arrived on time.Before I ordered this product, I read some of the reviews. Here are my thoughts on the product and some complaints:It's designed to fit Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box, so if you own one and want to purchase a litter mat that doesn't cost a fortune; you may consider this one. If you own a different type of litter box or a litter pan, this will not work for you because of it's size.I own Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box, so I thought I'd give this a try; given it's price, if it didn't work I wouldn't be so upset. I also gave it a few days to see how it's working before I wrote this review.I can say that this product somewhat works, reduces the tracking I'd say, by %50 or so. I believe there are two reasons why I'm not seeing better results. One is, I have two cats and one of them makes a mess while getting out of the box no matter what, so I'm thinking that maybe playing a part. Two, I think it's too small even for Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box. I feel like it would have worked better if it was a little larger. That's the reason why I gave it three starts.Some users complained about their cats not wanting to step on it because the mat was too hard. This did not occur to me and I had no problems with it being plastic or hard. I'd rather use something my cats can't destroy. When I placed the mat, they sniffed it for a while before they went into litter box and had no problems with it.This is a product that's on the cheaper side and may work for you if your litter tracking problem isn't too bad. Although I expected better results, I'm not too disappointed with it. I'll give it a few more days and change my review if I see an improvement.

Not much to say about it other than IT DOES THE JOB.My cats' litter box is in the kitchen. (I have the Omega PAW Large self-cleaning litter box which is also terrific--see my review for an important tip!) My kitchen floor is a faux wood laminate, so every stray grain of kitty litter is very visible, and when trod upon by human feet it makes for a bit of a floor-dulling, dusty grey mess.The Omega Paw Paw-Cleaning Litter Mat eliminates the scattered litter problem by about 95%. I've had no problems with my cats leaping over it (this might have something to do with their being nine-years-old and not leaping over much of anything anymore). In fact, a couple times I've caught one of them idly sitting on it, apparently just for the novelty of sitting somewhere new :)So yeah, I recommend it. It's not the most attractive thing in the world (I could live without the embossed, farcical kitty-cat face--why do manufacturers of pet-related items think all pet owners are just wild for this kind of kitsch?), but...whatever. It does what it's supposed to do and I'm pretty sure I've never seen a litter mat that would qualify as good-looking.
