Marshmallow Pro - Marshmallow Roasting Sticks - Set of 5 Telescopic Extendable Roasting Sticks/Skewers With Zippered Travel Bag

These are so cool! I bought these to replace long roasting sticks that had gotten bent because they were hard to store - not the case with the Marshmallow Pro sticks :) They come in a zippered travel bag that fits perfectly in the tiny drawers in my travel trailer. All the roasting sticks have red caps on the points that need to be removed before using but it'll be a good idea to put them back on for storing so the bag doesn't get torn up. I like that they a small enough to store but extend fairly far so you don't have to be so close to the fire while roast marshmallows or cooking hot dogs. The handle spins but that's just so you can hold onto the handle & twist the metal right below it to spin it for even browning (or even burning if you like them crispy like my daughter). When extended as far out as they'll go they are not super flimsy and as long as my daughter & husband don't decide to sword fight with them they'll hold up pretty well I think.Overall, I really like these & since smores are a requirement when we go camping these are a must have itemI received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review - this in no way changes how I review a product. Was not sure what to expect when I ordered these marshmallow roasting sticks. They were ordered to use while camping and around the fire pit. They could be just cheap junk that you use once and throw away or they could be nice pronged sticks that would provide lots of safe enjoyment around the fire. Well, I was definitely pleasantly surprised! These are excellent sticks. They are not super heavy, but they feel well made. They are definitely not flimsy or cheap feeling at all.The sticks are not very long when compressed and fit nicely into the little black bag they came with for storage. The array of colors makes it easy for everyone to know which they have used. The handles are plastic and at the top of the handle have a black dial that you can use to rotate the marshmallows. The sticks extend to a good length so that you can stay far enough away from the fire to be safe. These are much better for camping than the non-collapsible type. They shrink to a size which makes them easily packable, but are plenty long during actual use. The prongs come with rubber covers, so remove those and set them aside. We put them back on after cleaning so we would not risk tearing the travel bag that came with the sticks.We have used them only a couple times around the fire pit, but they seem to do really well. Marshmallows do tend to stick a little to the sticks, but not any worse than any other metal stick. All in all, everyone in my family is very pleased with the sticks. My family loves camping! We also love to have small fires on the weekends just for the fun of it. My six year old son is fascinated with roasting marshmallows and other things over the fires lately. Usually we just find a good twig that's long enough and use that. However, the marshmallows tend to stick to them pretty bad and the tips of the sticks may catch on fire sometimes. These roasting sticks are the perfect for our campfire needs! The Marshmallow Pro roasting sticks come in a neat compact zippered nylon bag which is perfect for throwing in a backpack or camping bag for easy transportation. The set of five sticks come in the vibrant colors of purple, blue, yellow, red and green. We love picking out who gets which color! Each stick is 10" long when folded up and extends all the way to 34". They're telescopic so you can easily adjust it to whatever length you may desire at the time. The sticks are made of non-toxic stainless steel and are extremely durable and can withstand any heat without scorching. The tips are pointed but not sharp and can easily skewer a hot dog as well as marshmallows or any other food you might think of to roast. Handy little rubber caps are included to cover the tips when not in use for safety reasons. The colored grips are very comfortable and actually have a little rotation device located at the base of the handle you can easily operate with just your thumb! These are extremely fun and easy to use! My six year old had fun picking out which one e wanted to use and we roasted hot dogs over my propane grill since it was very windy and didn't want to start a ground fire. The best part about the sticks is how you can easily adjust the length! I was able to get close to the fire, and was able to keep my son at a safe distance away from it. We had a lot of fun and I can't wait to take these camping and try them out for real!These are a million times better than a random stick off the ground!*I was not paid for this review!
