Not for fresh green coconuts
The hammer is good but the opener itself is designed only for refrigerated young tender coconuts with the husks shaved off (white coconut) . It does not work on whole fresh green coconuts ; the edges of the opener are unable to grip the coconut well .

The Hammer is low quality
The hammer handle disengaged from the lower part when doing the first tender coconut. Had to use my own hammer

Using a knife is easier
I bought this thinking it will make opening coconuts an easier task but it literally takes more time and energy to do so using it so I'm back to simply using a knife. Also, the hammer's head fell off after a few uses.
