Needed a dress watch for wedding season and this met the criteria. The link-removal took adjusts the wrist band circumference to fit snug. The steel wristband is lightweight and doesn't tarnish or have a metallic smell after skin contact like some metal jewelry in this price range. The color options go well with a wide variety of formalwear. The timepiece is just as accurate as the $1k+ watches would be. I wouldn't give it as a gift since Curren is known for entry-level watches ($10-$40). Also can't speak to the durability since I've only had it less than a year... but if you're buying a watch for yourself this once is perfect and I wouldn't change anything about it.

Watch comes with a preset band for an “average” wrist size, but my wrist is smaller, so I contacted seller and they sent an instruction photo which showed how to adjust it. But you’ll need almost jeweler-level tools, i.e. a very thin, but tough, post and a small hammer to drive the connector posts out of each link. I finally found I had a micro-drill bit that would work in order to tap and drive the posts out. The operation took more than a half hour. Seller could consider including a suitably thin but strong driver post with the watch, accompanied by the 4-step photo instructions that are NOT included, but should be (seller emailed me instructions for adjusting). This watch is very sharp looking, well designed, nicely made, and is an amazing value! (The watch arrived well before predicted arrival date.) If the seller would correct (or redesign) the band adjustment problem, this watch would rate a solid 5 stars from me. Seller says it’s Japanese made. P.S. I’ve worn this watch for several weeks now and I am pleasantly surprised at how readable the larger dial is, compared with my old, “expensive” watch. I’ve had compliments on this watch, and it looks as good as watches 10 times it’s price.
