We needed a new pump for our outdoor waterfall and decided to give this a try as the price seemed really good. So far, it’s working great! Very happy and hoping it will last a few years or more.

Turned it on about a month ago and it's been running just fine ever since. The 3500 GPH was perfect for the waterfalls I just built. I did lots of research to get the correct size. I did all the calculations and was conservative on all the numbers by rounding up. I wanted more volume rather than less. Glad I did.Obviously I will change my evaluation if it conks out any time soon.

Great and very well built pond pump at a good price

I bought over the years a half a dozen or more of these types of pumps of different brands, particularly Franklin/little giant. Compared to the WP – 100 little giant at $550, this pump bought at $314 is louder and does not produce as much water at 15 feet of head as the same size WP 100--6400 gallon pump. Cord is longer and 30 feet which is better, and this pump does have a reversible Insert that allows you to use a male or female 2 inch connector pipe outflow Just unscrew what comes with it if you need to use the female on the pump. The base of the pump has small holes, and therefore will not allow large leaves to transfer through like the other pumps do- and this is likely to cause some blockage overt time. Overall, not that happy with the pump other than the price- time will tell whether I get more than the 2 to 3 years that I get out of little giant. The louder noise is a bit annoying though. The noise that is a parent on this pump and not on more expensive pump such as Franklin, is a 278 Hz humming noise that is prominent even over the sound of the water. This alone probably makes the purchase unwise if you are often close to your waterfall.

Holly buckets Batman! What an awesome pond pump! I'm blown away by the water pressure. I built a 7,200 gallon two-tear pond with a waterfall 12 years ago and have been using a pump that required priming every time the power went out or the filter began to plug up. After 12 years my old pump began to run slower and slower and a couple of weeks ago I just couldn't keep it running. I gave up and finally pulled the old pump out and went on-line in search of a bigger and better automatic on and off, no primping required pump and found the Patriot LE5500. I read the reviews, submitted some questions and was encouraged by the responses. So, I purchased the Patriot, received the pump yesterday and set it up today. It didn't take long to stretch out 30 feet of 2 inch hose. I anchored the Patriot to a plastic milk crate and held it down with a 10 pound weight. I also purchased a recommended plastic filter bag to help keep out some of the debris. The bag was pretty big, so I cut it down to size and wrapped it around the base of the pump. I probably spent about an hour setting everything up. I climbed out of the pond, took off my chest waiters and flipped on the power... The waterfall exploded with a powerful roar. I had never seen so much water come out of that waterfall. I didn't realize that I had done such a great job on building the pond and it took the Patriot pump to show me just how nice it could really be. I'm completely impressed with this pump and whole heartedly recommend the Patriot for anyone with a back yard pond who wants to enjoy the full potential of their pond.

So far , so good. Install end of March 2023. Easy install, plenty of cord and it came with adaptor reducers if needed. Would recommend.

This pump has been working absolutely great for us. We had been using a much more expensive brand but only would get 3-4 years out of them. When the last one failed it filled the pond with oil. It took me a week to get it properly cleaned out and safe. One of the other problems with the other pump was that you had choices between HP/Flow that were not quite what we wanted. Too much or too little. This pump can use a speed controller so we get precisely the flow we want for our two tier stream. This pump does not have as heavy duty a case or impeller as the other but since the bearings would freeze up or leak on the other one, who cares? I put it in this summer and was pleased that it worked as well as when it was new. I am not happy that I had to put in three separate pumps since I got the pond but I am happy that this one has lasted at least as long as the more expensive original units.

In a time where customer service seems to have all but disappeared as a concept, Half Off Ponds is the clear exception. Had an issue with a pump 10 months after purchase. After asking me a few questions and for a couple of pictures, Half Off Ponds sent me a new pump and label to return the old one. This all took place over less than a week. Great communication, great people, great experience. I am so happy to find a company that stands behind their merchandise, I wish there were more like you.Thank you Half-Off ponds!

I have use tsurumi pumps for over a decade. These pumps are not quite as powerful, and maybe not quite as well built....but they are close, and at a very attractive price. They also draw slightly fewer amps, which is a fair trade for slightly fewer GPH... I'm a fan

We just installed it so haven’t had it long. This was purchased after our last one broke… easy to install and it seems to be doing an amazing job… if I’m not happy I’ll be sure to update but as of now o would recommend as great.

The magnetic drive of the pump impeller means there is not shaft seal to wear out. I'm hoping this pump will last longer than my previous pumps which have all failed when water has leaked past the seal into the motor.The price was very good.
