Great book for beginners !!
If you are an aspiring psychic, witch, or just someone who just wants to learn about divination- I highly recommend this book.I was hoping for this book to go a little deeper into each topic, but then I remembered; it’s a dictionary.Remember to do your research and cross reference. This book won’t tell you everything but it gives you amazing places to start.

A must have deck for serious readers!
Amazing cards! Accurate, deep, and beautifully laid out. What an incredible tool for shadow work, growth and understanding — both big picture-wise + at a more micro level. One of the best oracle decks I’ve used, by far. It has depth that isn’t always pretty, but really gets to the truth or the matter in a way I haven’t found In other decks. The knowledge it brings will help anyone along their journey, and often in pretty profound ways.

Divination of all types
It is a good book for any beginner practitioners, it goes into the different divination methods that there are gives a brief explanation on each one and how to do them as well. The book is hardcover which is great because it keeps the pages neat and straight

Great art, but any online "list of divination" will be just as informative
I see most novices outgrowing this book extremely fast. So either this book is for the newest of new. Or for professionals to have on hand as an introductory tool. Many of these practices have no mention of their country or culture of origin. Which is a very helpful piece of information when doing research. So I find it strange that something so easy to include was left out.My second issue is practices like physiognomy are presented as so basic, that they end up coming across as eugenic. Not here to pass judgment, it's a nuanced practice that doesn't do well with middle of the road descriptions. It's better to either keep its details to an absolute minimum, or give it the amount of elaboration it needs, so that does more than shove people into positive and negative categories. The pendulum section being so short was also a surprise. There are many ways to read pedulum, and while I wasn't expecting this book to list them all. I was expecting it to at least include more than one method. It doesn't even mention using pendulums in combination with divination charts.

Too black and white
I like this idea a lot but I dislike that everything in this book is considered something that'll bring you good fortune or bad fortune. Divination isn't that simple. It's not always either good or bad. Futures are not good or bad, they're complex. I think my least favorite divination practice in the book is the one with the candles floating in water. The book says if the two candles float next to each other your partner is "true" to you and if they separate the relationship is "doomed". Really? You're playing with chance and there are only two options? You're relationship is great or it's "doomed"? That's not really how life works. I love the idea of this book but I hate it when people feed into the idea that divination is this black and white, it just scares people when they get a "bad" omen.
