I absolute love the masterpiece from Yedi
It has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances, and I can honestly say it’s made cooking so much easier. Whether I’m making a quick dinner or enjoying a lazy weekend breakfast, this grill has been a total game changer for me! First off, the digital controls are super easy to use. I can quickly adjust the temperature for grilling, making waffles, or pressing paninis. I appreciate how fast it heats up, so I’m not waiting around forever for it to be ready. The grill feature is fantastic, i've been trying out with steak to veggies and it always gives that nice sear and grill marks. Plus, the pre heating process help to cook evenly, so i don't have to worry about hot spots. The panini press work perfectly too; it crisps up sandwiches just the way I like them. One of my favorite things about this grill is how versatile it is. It can easily switch between the griddle and grill plates, we've been trying this morning brekfasts routines with my roommate where we place eggs, bacon and panckaes and it been working perfectly. Cleaning is easy peacy, just take out the two trays and place them in the dishwasher and bum, you are done. If you’re someone who loves to cook a variety of meals without cluttering your kitchen with a bunch of different gadgets, this is definitely the appliance for you. It’s compact, stylish, and makes cooking so much easier

I *WAS* Glad I Took A Chance on An Unknown Brand
UPDATED REVIEW: (4/30/23) I have been since September/October 2022 trying to get Yedi to honor their 2 year warranty against defects. The nonstick coating on the grill/flat griddle plates started bubbling and peeling just over a year after purchasing this unit. Yedi claims the unit is out of warranty although their Amazon listing and website state differently. I have sent them screen shots of their stated warranty, as well as pictures and video of the defective nonstick coating. They still hold firm that the unit is out of warranty and that I must purchase replacement griddle plates at $34.95. Although the user manual states the removable plates are dishwasher safe, they have never been placed in the dishwasher and have always been hand-washed and dried. Additionally, only silicone utensils have been used on the griddle/waffle maker, so, obviously, there is an issue with the nonstick coating. The waffle plates are fine, as they have been rarely used. The grill/flat griddle plates are no longer usable, as my family and I do not wish to consume the nonstick coating that ends up in our food. For reference, other than the week we took it with us on vacation, the unit was/has been used twice a month (at most) on average. Since September/October 2022, it has been used three times for paninis with sheets of parchment paper used as a barrier between the food and the griddle plates. 11/2021: I was skeptical to try an unknown brand at first but thought it was worth a shot since I could get a refund if it was junk. This has replaced my xl George Foreman grill that the nonstick coating peeled off (and this was cheaper). I've had it for 7 months, and the whole family really likes it. My one complaint is once the timer gets to 0, the unit automatically turns off. To bypass this, we just don't start the timer. The temperature controls are easy, as we can adjust them as needed while the unit is in use. The waffle iron plates can be a bit tricky to get the crevices clean, but I love that they're removable, so I let them soak in dish water if needed. Although the removable plates are supposedly dishwasher safe, we never, ever place them in the dishwasher, as this will surely damage the nonstick coating over time. We hand-wash with hot, soapy water only. We took this with us on vacation, and it was a great multi-purpose appliance used for eggs, bacon, hamburgers, paninis, etc. I'd buy it again! I'm now considering the Yedi bread machine but am waiting since it's a more expensive option. We'll see....

Was pretty good but broke after 13 months - company won’t do anything
This 6 in 1 girl, griddle, waffle maker was pretty good for condensing three small appliances into one — perfect for my daughter in her apartment. After 5-6 uses, the bottom plate didn’t snap in quite as well as it used to, so the heat distribution wasn’t quite as good, but it still worked fine. Last weekend, she was grilling a steak and about 5 minutes into cooking, the whole unit totally died. Lots of reviews with this issue. She reached out to Yeti to ask if they would do anything — I bought it for her Dec. 31, 2023 and it died January 19, 2025 — just a couple of weeks outside of the warranty. The company said no, it was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do but offer her a coupon to buy another one. A coupon to buy another one that could break again in a few months?! No, thanks. She is going to look for another small appliance that has similar capabilities. Terrible customer service and they obviously don’t care as long as they get your money.

This was a game changer for me!
We have a large T-Fal grill that we use to grill steaks inside during the winter months. The problem with it is that it is tipped forward a bit to run juices into a drip tray in the front. This means that if I use it as a sandwich grill and the sandwich is even slightly thick, it slides the top forward and deposits the sandwich contents on the grill. I bought the Yedi grill to use primarily as a panini press. So far, it has been flawless. The top grill is pretty stiff, which means that I can set it to the exact slant that I want to accommodate sandwiches of any thickness. It's not super large but it is large enough to handle two sandwiches with large sourdough bread (at a slight angle). And the waffle grill really works! (I was kind of skeptical about this.) Just set the heat to 400 deg F and cook for 3 minutes. With the non-stick grill, the waffles pop out easily. Now I can throw away my aging waffle iron with no temperature control and no timer (it broke). I love the fact that I can exactly specify the temperature and time that I want. Now my recipes are repeatable and reliable. I have had no issues at all with the non-stick surface. They are easy to hand wash or put in the dish washer. The only drawback (for me) is that it doesn't store vertically. I'll need to find a place for it somewhere... Regardless, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.

It is a bargain, but a terrible waffle maker.
Took a chance on the Yeti and I can confirm it is well-made, and a well thought-out design. The temperature control is accurate and distributes well, although I wish I could adjust top and bottom separately. The removable plates make cleaning VERY easy; non-stick works well. It really does make sandwiches "special" somehow, and is versatile enough to do a lot of cooking on it. Here's why I am deducting one star - the entire point of buying this was to make waffles with precise temperature control. No matter what I do they pale in comparison to my 20 year old Sunbeam waffle maker that I paid $24 for. I did a controlled test where I measured the temp of the Sunbeam (180) and had both devices churning out waffles with same heat and time. The Sunbeam made crisp, light, airy waffles with deep Belgian pockets. The Yeti makes rubbery / soggy waffles with half-hearted "American" dents. I concluded the reason was the Sunbeam releases a lot of steam in the process, and the Yeti holds it all in. I even tried holding the door open, but then the tops didn't form properly. Another thing I learned - the Sunbeam heats only on the bottom plate, and this seems to make perfectly cooked waffles top and bottom. The Yeti heats both top and bottom and the two sides are always cooked differently. It seems having two heating elements has not paid off for making waffles. I also make hashbrown or potato-pancake waffles and once again the cheap Sunbeam makes them to die for. The Yeti comes out too thick and heavy, and this is due to the shape of the waffle-plates: they are too far apart and the walls of the waffle are too thick so you don't get the right ratio of browned potato surface. So as a standard panini machine or small kitchen grill it is a great device. I am just irked I can't use it to make proper waffles.

I'm overly excited about the waffles!!!!
I had had my eye on Pampered Chef's $430+ version of this multi-grill (their waffle plates are $80+ of that price, but you also get waffle mix--big whoop). But that is too rich for my blood! So, when I read in a recent AARP magazine that it recommended this Yedi kitchen appliance and it only cost $119 (which INCLUDED the waffle plates) and did everything the P.C. one did (minus a built-in thermometer and bag of waffle mix--big whoop!), I was SOLD! (Plus, I was already happily using a Yedi air fryer.) I have used all three plates and so far, they have all performed just super! I started with waffles because I have not had waffles in eons (no waffle maker)! I used Bisquick and followed the box recipe, which made exactly 8 generous-sized waffles. (Yedi's directions for using a mix were different. I think theirs would only make 4 waffles.) I pre-heated the grill each time, as instructed, and they came out just lovely! They are Belgian'ish as they are definitely on the thicker side. (Leftover waffles reheated perfectly in my toaster.) Next, I tried fried eggs. There were no instructions for that, but Google said 250 degrees was a good temp, so that's what I used. I was able to just heat 1 of the grills for this. The grill came with two silicone egg rings, which nicely corralled the egg whites. I waited a little long to flip them, but the tops came out beautifully. Later I fried two more, but that time I broke a yolk when I flipped them. I was pleasantly surprised that when the grill was completely cooled, my nylon spatula easily removed the messy residue. It ALL came off with no problem. Frankly, I was shocked. I had used no oil and no cooking spray. Finally, I grilled some chicken breasts. This time I set it to 350 degrees. For years I used a George Foreman grill for this sort of thing. Based on my Geo. Foreman experience, I fully expected to only be able to fit 3 of the 4 breasts on there and then having to do one as a solo. To my surprise, they ALL fit on there! This griddle is bigger than I realized! I used the flipper tongs that came with the grill to handle the chicken. The chicken did not generate much grease, so I didn't get to test the grease cup. The only possible downside I can see compared to the George Foreman, is the grease drainage. The G.F. is sloped to encourage the grease to drain away from your food. The Yedi has no slope, so I assume grease could build up with food sitting in it, before it reached enough capacity to drain. (Yedi is flat.) In fact, with it being flat, I'm not sure it will drain *while* cooking. I may not be able to drain until done as part of the cleanup process. HOWEVER, considering all the functionality and the price and the fact the plates can go in the dishwasher, I don't care that much about the grease! I am feeling super smart for buying this appliance! More cooking options, more temperature control, easy cleaning. I'm IN! (How many times a week is too many for eating waffles? Asking for a friend . . . )

Great little appliance!
I inherited an ancient griddle/waffle maker that my mother bought second-hand in the late 1960s. I thought nothing new could compare, but then the heating coils stopped working. I reluctantly tossed it and bought this Yedi. And I LOVE it! I've used it to make waffles, to toast a sandwich with the panini press, to cook pancakes, and mostly for grilled cheese and burritos (I like the crunch!). It's easy to operate and we use it all the time. Even better, we had a problem. Customer service was responsive and we ended up getting a replacement for the unit very quickly.
