Excellent quality and value.
I ordered two sets of these V-blocks ( 4 blocks). They are as described. Cast iron and machined flat and smooth on the V top, both sides and bottom. All machine work is very nice. They are painted silver on un-machined rough area. The 2 holes machined in center web are 5/8" diameter. Just wipe off excess shipping oil and they are ready to use.

Bought 2 pair and each pair are matched sizes, but...
The one pair is not the same size as the other pair.

Pretty rough castings, but pretty square
I took a stone to all the edges and relieved some of the casting buggers. Except for that roughness, they're quite square and true to each other. No wobble when cradling a 1-2-3 block or a test square. It's the same quality I seem to find in most HHIP stuff. Good for square and accuracy and typically a little rough in the finish area. I'd imagine you could buy maybe three sets of these blocks, and finish them yourself, for the cost of one set of S or M brand, which likely come pre-finished. For a tool that I might handle all the time (scales, ruler, divider etc) that factory finish might be more important. But for a V block, it's not in my hand during use. It's clamped to a table or sitting on a slab. Most important thing it can be is square and accurate. This one seems to be exactly that. One star off for the need to final finish. But worth it for the apparant cost savings. Thanks - Lumpy

Accurage, low-cost V-Block
Well made and accurate V block. I use two of these in my Bridgeport mill, (Kurt vise) to hold production pieces. We manufacture aluminum billet housings that need to be milled on one end. We use these V-Blocks to hold the piece in our vise. They work well and hold the piece accurately.

Good small v blocks
I've purchased 5 sets, I should have enough for any set up I need to make. Watch price, it fluctuates and you can easily spend more than you have to. I paid $13ish, when I went to reorder more they were $20, so I waited....

OK for the money but...
OK for what you pay I guess. Casting quality is poor with minor defects on ground surfaces that were repaired by mfg.and one repair I could feel with my fingernail. Biggest complaint is only the top and bottom surfaces are ground others are rough milled therefore can't be used accurately in other positions such as clamping round stock on your mill vertically.

Incorrect specifications
Size Name: 2 x 1-3/8 x 7/8 " Size, 1-5/8 " V WidthThat V Width is wrong. It's not 1-5/8" but exactly 1". Appears as solid product but some - not all - edges are quite sharp so some deburring is needed in most cases.

Good product
Excellent product for the price paid and fast shipping to boot.

Good value
Had to spend a few minutes with a stone to remove some burrs, but overall decent quality at a good price.
