Absolutely brilliant
This is a brilliant piece of kit. As a motor mechanic I use this for many aspects of diagnostic work. A major tool company well known in the motor trade sell a product that is £1000 and no where near as good as this product.

Even more useful than I thought.
I bought this to do some science in the testing of a project I am working on. It is also useful for various DIY tasks such as seeing where joists are behind plasterboard and seeing where drafts are coming from (e.g. where a door seal may need replacing). It will even clearly show you whether a device is on and in standby, rather than completely switched off. Even low power devices raise the temperature enough such that they glow clearly against the background! Do not be fooled by superficially similar devices that might be cheaper. This shows you the visible edges of things in the field of view, to help identify where you are pointing at. Most other devices of this type just show you a blurry field of colours, and it is hard to pinpoint what you are lookng at (measuring from). Oh, and I almost forgot: this device has a rubberised outer case, and really feels rugged.

Easy to use
Easy to use, helping with home energy efficiency, it's not great vale for money but you can't get them much cheaper and to hire one for a week is more than half what this cost. So you gets what you pay for. Possibly a bit of an extravagance for DIY , just don't tell the wife how much it really cost 😳

Not enough information
I was disappointed with this. Nicely built piece of kit and the accessories all felt decent quality. What you can see is a thermal map, laid over a well-publicised normal image. There's one measurement, a spot in the middle. For me the normal video did little to improve the image. What I felt was critical was to know what the thermal map meant, apart from 'this bit's hot and this cold'. The thermal map helps you locate hot spots of course, but because the resolution is limited ( as it is with other devices I appreciate ) and the alignment of the thermal spot camera and the image is not perfect, it is very hard, maybe impossible, to judge the actual temperature. I measured something like 40 deg C but then nearly burnt my finger when investigating the 'good old way'. If I moved the camera around and I could obtain a reading that seemed to be representative but that's not really what I was expecting from nearly £500 worth of kit. This might be of use in the case illustrated of something at a distance using the LASER as a guide but for the smaller areas - I will generally use it on a circuit board - I found it wanting. I bought a much cheaper device, not as well built by any means, but it has a max and min temperature within the thermal map plus a spot temperature which works much better for me. Thanks to Amazon for dealing with the return of this so smoothly.

Rubbish - battery fault and device is known for them great service from amazon on the return though.
Battery fault out the box - turns out the manufacturer is known for these problems.

Super compact, lightweight, high quality!
The Flir TG267 Thermal Camera seems like a really good device, I have tested other thermal cameras with a similar price, the only minor fault I can find with this product is that the camera is a little laggy, other than that I really prefer the size weight and shape of this compared to the last, it really is nice and compact. It has a handy led torch built in as well as a laser pointer to assist in accuracy. Another thing that is a nice touch is a welcome note with an email address and someone’s face, this makes you feel like you are apart of a team. Another really nice touch is the thermo coupling this plugs into the top of the device and comes up with the temperature of the probe on the screen. It comes with a really neat protection case that would be perfect to use on site. The battery seems to last a good amount of time, I have been playing about for the last 30 minutes and it dropped about 5% in that time. I used this at my main consumer unit under the stairs and found everything to be in good order. It’s very interesting to see. I look forward to going back to work to use this during one of my many electrical breakdowns. I know this will save me so much time do to the nature of the machines I work on many breakdowns seem to be loose cables. Thank you Flir for letting me review this product it’s a very good machine. It comes recommended from me.

Quality clear thermal image
Bought for some diy home energy survey to find thermal anomalies in the house and where insulation issues could be for known cold areas . Pro: quality build , feels solid and rugged, rubber outer to it, good thermal image shows good detail and easy to identify hot / cold spots , good setting options and has bluetooth to wireless send photos taken, MSX tech is worth it much better image . Con: no thermal scale on screen just central target showing temperature at that point, no min max temp shown on screen, screen bit leggy but not to bad issue , I include a comparison photos showing this flir and a HTi-19 320x240 unit. Although the hti had superior ir resolution spec, the flir image was superior in my opinion and showed a lot more detail thermally, flir iron colour for thermal image is the best also. For what I use it for this flir model is great . A more professional use would need a higher spec flir.

I use this infrared imaging tool all the time! I just used it the other day to check my fuse panel to see if any of the wires were getting hot (I do this once a year). Wires can get hot and deform from the stress of heating and cooling, eventually they get loose enough to cause some arching, more heat and carbon buildup, which then gets even hotter and can start a fire in your fuse panel. But I mostly use this for checking temperatures on circuit boards to see if any of the parts are getting too hot. I also like that the app on my phone can show me the temperature graph as it goes up and down overtime. The images are very clear and it’s very easy to see which component on the board is getting too hot. I just need to find a way to make a stand for this device and it would be nice if you could send the thermal image from the camera via Bluetooth to a screen or a computer to show on a larger display. This is also very good for identifying cold spots in your attic or basement so many other uses! I believe this was designed for HVAC use, but it has so many other uses. I am so glad I bought this, it was worth every penny!

Por el precio podía dar más información como temperatura máxima y mínima como lo hacen otras de inferior calidad y más económicas. Lo del sistema MSX muy logrado, funciona muy bien
