Poorly designed bloodletter
This really is a cheap replacement head. The head fits on your typical double edge razor pole, but the problem is that the double edge blade sticks out the edges of the head where you would normally grip the head to twist it off. I gouged myself pretty good due to this fact; I brought the razor against my skin, but I hit at an angle and cut myself pretty good. Yes, it is something that you can deal with, but why? I am ordering from Maggards because this is not even worth the hassle.

Needed a head for a bulldog handle. Used an Asta blade for the first shave. No kicks and a very nice shave.

Poorly made
Is was a replacement for my Edwin Jagger since i broke my original one his new head was poorly made my blades were lineing up correctly after, I ended up getting the Merkur slantbar as my replacement I'll give that 5 stars

Exact replacement for a broken head.
I had a razor that fell and the center stud broke off in the handle. I was able to extract the broken piece out of the handle, and wanted to replace the head since I like the handle.This item seems to be an exact duplicate of the one I broke. It also seems to be made of pot metal like the old one. Brass (like the ones from the 60s and earlier) would be stronger, but at this price point, you have to be realistic. (I suspect there is one factory in China cranking these out and selling them to various handle makers, as most of the razor vendors on Amazon seem to have the exact same head on their units.)The blade presentation is mild, and even using Feather blades, it doesn't cause me razor burn.

Poorly made replacement
I bought this to replace the head of my Muhle R89 Grande. The quality control is terrible! I don't get near the shave I got with the original head. I get different shaves with the two sides (they are both poor). One side doesn't seem to want to cut at all.
