This stud finder is a necessity if you ever need to put up a shelf or hang a picture, etc. It is simple to operate and accurate.

This product still worked very well as a stud finder but it's hard to work on my plaster wall without spending over an hour.After getting some ambiguous readings for the standard detection mode I switched to the deep mode and got fairly more accurate readings. Because of the nature of my uneven wall, the detection was ambiguous every other second, but after getting 10 samples of the same reading, I was able to find the edges. I'm sure it would've worked fantastic for nice even dry wall.Also, I was unsure about the metal detection... I got positive metal readings for all of my studs, but I started traveling upwards with the scanner and it kept going from 0 reading to 10 reading (where 0 is 0% metal and 10 is 100% metal theoretically). It kept going from 0 to 10 at a consistent rate, so I figure it was picking up nails in the wood of the stud.I am planning to mount my TV onto the wall in the following week(s). I will update this review depending on how accurate the readings actually were. I mainly got this product in order to measure the distance between studs in my place so that I could order the correct TV mount.Other than that, the other features were very neat. The live AC wire one was nifty, but delicate to make sure I got solid readings. If you have your hand slightly up on the scanner, your head near it, or you squeeze it hard on the sides, I noticed the AC reading fluctuated perfectly to those changes... I understand it tells me that some EM readings from my hands may be picked up, so this was normal but a tad finicky.

For the price I don't have any complaints. Plenty of features and very accurate. Deep scan is a nice addition. Quick readings

It's easy to use. Press button to initial setup. On smooth surface the reading is ok. On rough surface the reading is not consistent. The reading to electric wire and deeper stud are good. If the initial setup reading has a stub, it will miss other studs' reading. It must initiate at no stud behind for good reading. If it ever leaves the wall, it needs to have initial setup again.

Arrived quickly. Seems like a solid unit. Supply your own 9V battery. Works as a basic studfinder for drywall just fine. Gives you a nice 5 second countdown for the calibration time. Gives you the right or left edge, and the center of the stud nicely. The electrical wire presence seems to work pretty accurately, but I would be careful with trusting any tool for that. It detects changes in density so pipe location might work sometimes, again I'd be careful trusting any tool for that vs an actual visual look. As a locator in tile for stud or wire or pipe, not the right tool. Overall, a nice spare studfinder to have for me.

Works how it should. Bought for a gift and no complaints!

No es nada preciso. No se puede regular la sensibilidad entonces comienza a sonar a mucha distancia antes de encontrar el poste metálico y sigue sonando distancia después de pasar la ubicación real.Me ayudo a tener una vaga idea de donde estaria el poste pero tuve que hacer hoyos cada centímetro hasta encontrarlo. La verdad mejor inviertan en uno un poco más caro pero de marca reconocida.
