I was very hesitant to order without any reviews (I take reviews very seriously when choosing to purchase a product) but thought it was absolutely adorable, so went ahead. The wood was thinner than I expected and cracked in a few places, but really isn't a big deal. I put some wood hardener over the damaged spots. I think this is weather treated--I'd have to go back and look--but I'm planning to go over it with something anyway because I live in Louisiana and this is in an outdoor area under some trees, so I can never be too safe. It comes with picture directions, but I found them very easy to follow. It was fairly simple to put together, too. I own a drill, but because the wood is so thin, opted for a screwdriver, but it wasn't difficult. Overall, though, it's adorable, spacious for my two small dogs, and my babies like it.
