Chapul High Protein Cricket Flour Bars – Dark Chocolate Coffee Cayenne – Gluten, Soy and Dairy Free - Low Sugar & Low Net Carbs (12 Pack)

My husband and I love our Thai Chapul bars. We first saw them on Shark Tank and have ordered twice through their website. This time I ordered two boxes of the Thai bars here on Amazon because it's slightly cheaper plus no shipping since (at least for now) we have Amazon Prime. They arrived very promptly. We've only had one bar from our order but it's the same we're used to & we like the subtle and interesting flavors. My husband and I have a lot of eating restrictions (no coffee, no grains, nothing very spicy) so this is the flavor bar we prefer. You should really go to their website and read all about why they use crickets. They are very into water conservation and doing the right thing for the planet. They don't cut corners on quality ingredients either & that's explained on their site & we heard about that when they appeared on Shark Tank too. I think it's super cool that they believe so much in what they do & I think you can tell in the end product. If we had more $ we'd probably eat them all the time. We just bought two boxes because my husband and I will be traveling and on the go a bunch coming up and these bars are a great super healthy way to get protein on the go. Of course compared to eating junk that you can buy when you are out and about these bars are a bargain in many ways.

Great product. The bars I got were the reformulated bars. I did not try them before they changed them up, but these are excellent. I actually liked all the flavors, but the slight hint of cayenne in the Aztec bar makes it my favorite. These are a bit pricey compared to other protein bars, and I know that some people comment on the nutritional advantages vs other bars making it worth the money. I dont know if that is necessarily true, but I still prefer these anyways. Hoping they eventually get the cost down a bit, but overall a great product.

I decided to just go for it and ordered the Thai – Coconut, Ginger & Lime energy bars. They were tasty and carried me over to my next meal. There isn't anything unusual or gritty--as a protein bar should be--they were smooth and just a little bit rich (coconut lending to the consistency). As expected, the ginger flavor is very forward but not overpowering, but if you're not a fan of ginger, this might not be for you. Overall, I was happy with the timeliness of the delivery, the packaging, and the flavor is terrific.

Addicted! I have ordered multiple boxes for myself and my husband. He likes this flavor (Dark Chocolate) and the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor the best. All the bars taste like what they say the have in them but the aforementioned are definitely the best flavors for chocolate lovers. Also, don't be grossed out by the cricket flour, it's tasty, healthy and good for the environment, so go at it. Yum!

I bought these to share with elementary students. You can't go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter, right? Right. The crickets are part of the flour. The crunch is provided by the cacao nibs. Perfect. I kept these for me, and now I'm waiting for the sampler I ordered for the kids. We will let you know how we feel about the other flavors.

Best nutritional bar I've ever tasted in my life. Ight sweet taste of dark chocolate paired with a balanced texture and biting spiciness. I've bought a few boxes throughout 2017 and would recommend chapul to anyone looking for a snack that's good for you and the environment while tasting good as well.

I love the flavor of these bars, but most importantly, because they don't contain milk proteins, they are gentle on my digestive track. I also feel good knowing they are high in omegas and that they're easier on the planet than cow based proteins. My only midly negative comment is that I have a hard time opening the packets. A small "tear here" slit in the top might help. I try to get everyone around me to eat these protein bars, and for those brave enough to try, 100% have said they'd buy more of them.

Very tasty. There's a slightly gritty texture to the bars akin to Tazo chocolate products, but not as pronounced, which comes from cocoa nibs -- though I can't help telling people it's bug bits! Too expensive to be a regular purchase, unfortunately.
