Works great
This is a wonderful water removal device. The company makes two styles. This one is a bit more than the other because of the auto shutoff. Water was going into my waterwell and overflowing onto my floor. I put this into the waterwell and worked great. I used it until the problem causing the water problem was fixed. It is quiet and works quickly. Also great for a flooded floor. Can’t say enough about it.

This thing is the BEST!
This thing works like a camp! When California had all the rain last year we had several areas for water to pool up, this took care of it in no time. Took all the worry out of bad weather. Can’t recommend it enough. Actually we liked it so much we ordered another.

Update
Placed this in a part of our yard that floods with heavy rain. Today, rain level reached 2" above bottom of this device but, it never switched on. Piece of junk. Returning.Update: Keeping this little workhorse after all. Turns out it just needed to be placed flat on bare ground to work. It was pumping dirt and water out a 3 ft. discharge due to being placed on bare soil but, it removed all the water after a rainfall of 1.55" in an hour. The unit was overwhelmed with keeping up with that amount of rainfall in such a short time however, it eventually removed every bit of water in the flooded yard. I was actually exchanging it with another identical one but, have decided to keep both and run when a heavy rainfall is expected. By the way, easy to clean by just back flushing through the discharge with a garden hose.

So far, so good
After renting a house with some unreported backyard and porch drainage issues, I first bought a Wayne Waterbug 1/6 hp submersible pump and then moved to two Wayne 57736-WYN1s 1/4 hp water removal tools. The two 57736s - christened "Pumpy McPumpface" and "Pumplestiltskin" - work great. They're very quiet, don't get clogged easily, turn on/off as they are supposed to, and do the job of draining most of the water off my porch and driveway. I set them in trouble spots where the water accumulates first and let them go. The manufacturer recommends a 25 foot hose, but I use my two with 50 foot hoses without issue.Skip the 1/6 hp Waterbug. It's not auto on/off, so it requires supervision, and mine also got clogged with debris more frequently.

Used it for 2 days straight...
...and it cycled on and off every 45 seconds for about 10 seconds each time...day and night with NO problem. (That's just under 4000 on/off cycles for the 2 day period.) Just wish it were slightly less in diameter, as it had to be lowered into a very narrow well house, and was a bit tricky to get in there. Would also be nice to have an option for the hose outlet on top as opposed to the side. Overall seems like a beast of a pump. Well worth the $$$.

Works Perfectly
This pump does exactly what it's supposed to do. My yard floods and this pump starts silently and continually pumps water until it automatically shuts off. 100% satisfied!!
