Utility Flame is light, inexpensive, safe to transport by aircraft and extremely versatile. Its uses are unlimited - it will boil water, provide emergency sterilization, make hot MREs, reconstitute freeze dried foods, heat a cup of coffee, dry wet clothing, provide warmth and start a campfire. It can be used as a heat source in virtually any environment and situation. With the Stove - Unfold and form the stove, keeping the small cutout as a surface for the Utility Flame gel - Open the pack either by tearing the top of the container at the notches on each side or unscrewing the cap - Set the metal cutout on level ground - Squeeze out the Utility Flame unto the metal cutout. - Light with matches or lighter - Set the stove above the flame with its opening downwind. - Add water to a metal canteen cup or other light weight pan, and carefully place on the stove. When the water is boiling, add MREs, freeze dried foods, fresh foods or beverage products. - The stove folds back up to its original 3x4x1/8 size for reuse Without the Stove - It is not necessary to use the stove, Utility Flame is an effective fire starter for campfires, charcoal grills, & can be used in solid fuel cookers Cleanup - Because Utility Flame is not a hazardous material, it requires no special clean up or handling. - Once the gel has burned, all that is left at the site is sand that easily brushes away.

Fun
Bought this to throw into my camping gear, it was a little tough to light (it was windy) but once I through a uco storm proof match to it, it lite right up and continued to burn for 20 minutes without adding anything to it. Best part is it burned into nothing. They're expensive but they do work really well once you get them started.

Okay
This went into my emergency fire starting kit and will stay there until the need arises.

Fire the easy way for sure
Fire delivered humankind from the darkness and lit the way for the age of civilization. Without it, we would truly be lost... especially during survival situations and disasters like a Zombie outbreak or attack. With fire such a primary and primal need, there are literally thousands of different fire-starters and sources of fuel to choose from on the market. But a few products stand above the rest when it comes to quality, versatility, and price; one of those is Utility Flame.Utility Flame is a water soluble non-toxic fire-gel with an indefinite shelf life, and extremely hot burn time. It's light weight, non-explosive, easy to use, and cost effective. All of this makes it an amazing piece of gear for an emergency preparedness kit and/or Bug Out Bag... regardless of the type of disaster you may be met with or are preparing for... but it gets even better than that. The odorless burn, clear blue flame, and extremely low luminosity of Utility Flame, offers a low-profile stealth-minded solution for those needing a little burn time in a tactical situation. Not only does it burn clean, Utility Flame only leaves behind a non-toxic sand-like substance and a bit of packaging when you're done, so there isn't much work needed to cover your tracks. Each 1.25 oz. packet burns for about 15 minutes at up to elevations of 10,000+ feet. This means that you'll have time enough to boil, roast, or burn whatever you need, no matter where you are. Because it's non-explosive, doesn't freeze, evaporate or melt, and has an indefinite shelf life; storing Utility Flame is just about as safe and easy as it gets when it comes to preparedness supplies. All of us were impressed with how easy the gel took the flame, even in the cold wet (not rainy) weather we used it in... though we couldn't tell it was lit at first because of how clear the flame was. It burned hot, clean and clear, with consistent heat output throughout the burn time (just under 15 minutes). Clean up was as easy as adding a little bit of water, wiping away the sandy residue, and packing up to go.We recommend Utility Flame to those looking for a cost-effective prep that promises a light weight and easy to use, quality fire source, for emergency and/or Zombie survival situations. Each box of Utility Flame comes standard with 3 packets of the 1.25 oz. fire gel and a small folding rocket style stove (not pictured). Grab a box of Utility Flame to keep in your Bug Out Bag and/or E-kit.
