Wouldn't recommend much from this company
These are cheap and not high quality at all, the silicone is produced with fillers which are FDA approved but the US is the only place where they are approved. Nasty chemicals you don't want anywhere near your food. If you are ever unsure about a silicone mold, fold and pinch, and if it turns white it means there are fillers and you should promptly return these items. I am a bakery owner and unfortunately every item from fat daddios seems to be cheap low quality. Wouldn't recommend much from this company. Silikomart is the way to go.

you have great sized pieces and you don't have to keep scooping ...
I'm using this mold to measure out coconut oil (1T per spot) for oil pulling and for measuring out CO for my smoothies. Put the silicone on a cookie sheet, fill the half spheres and set in the freezer. Wa la, you have great sized pieces and you don't have to keep scooping out of the jar daily. I keep them in a freezer bag in the freezer.

Easy to use
Where has silicon been all my baking life? These are amazing! I make Bouchons in them and removal and clean up is a breeze. Make sure you place on a shallow pan for stability, and it helps if you shake batter down for a nice flat bottom. You will likely need a pastry bag to fill as they are so narrow. I’ve found that to work really well.

good product, no reservations recommending it
i bought this for a beeswax mold. it works great. the wax comes out cleanly. it is not my favorite mold - i found that having thin walls between the cells makes filling the mold much easier and this one has considerable flat space between one cell and the next. but it does a great job. i would not buy it again for my uses, but that does not detract from it being a good product. it is exactly what it claims to be and works as described. i'd be entirely comfortable recommending this to anyone who desires this shape to bake. i've simply found a configuration i prefer for wax.

No greasing/oiling required!
I use these for Bouchons and they bake and unmold perfectly! I don't even need to grease the mold cavities! Such a great product, I bought 2 more!

Excellent Quality! I love silicone bakeware
Excellent Quality! I love silicone bakeware, and at this time have what some might consider an indecent collection :) Of all the molds and silicone bakeware pieces that I have, this Fat Daddio's mold is one of the highest quality (Freshware is another excellent brand, for those interested). I do not agree with the reviewer that called these 'mini muffin' sized. These are just under 3 inches across at the top, which is much bigger than the mini muffin pan of 1.5 or so inches across. These Fat Daddio's pans provide a perfect portion for an individual sized cake, and the silicone is good enough quality that it is sturdy enough to use without a baking sheet underneath (although I am sure some ppl would feel more comfortable with one anyway), and releases the baked product beautifully. Just make sure to use a heavier batter (no fluffy cake mixes) because you want to preserve the level of detail in the pans.

My kids love these!
I bought several similar molds and these are my kids favorites. They come out nice. If your batter is thick be sure to push it in there good or you may get bubbles in the top of the flowers. Really enjoying this product. You do have to use a second hot pad to support it when removing from the oven. but they fall out into the cooling rack easily by laying upside down on the rack then rolling it up and they just pop out. Let it cool and wipe the excess off rinse and your done. I make chocolate chip chocolate muffins in this every weekend and did I mention it is great. Usually cook at about 350 so no problems with odors or anything.

Large, spherical handfuls cake. What's not to love?
Like everything I've gotten from the Fat Daddio's brand, these work exactly as advertised. The silicon is heavy enough to hold up to stiff cake batter without drooping or wilting. My method was to use this pan on top of a heavy duty commercial half sheet pan to make getting the silicon in and out of the oven easier. It also kept the bottoms (tops?) of the spheres from overcooking, which I think might happen if you didn't have it on a half-sheet.Each complete sphere is about the equivalent of a large cupcake. One boxed cake mix would fill this tray twice...with possibly a little left over.
