Great Jacket for a Bargain
As the old saying goes, "buyer beware", that statement true especially here on Amazon when it comes to items from China. In this case, the product exceeded all my expectations and I am pleasantly surprised.First when ordering size, remember that the difference between Chinese Large and American Large is significant, so look at the numbers. Also the branding is excessive with big bold lettering on both sleeves and across the back.Like most higher end ADV jackets, the fit is adjustable with Velcro straps across the waistline, mid-sleeves and wrists. Closure in the front is with a zipper then an overlapping Velcro tab with snaps. Vents open easily to increase air circulation. Pockets are roomy, and close securely. Back, shoulders, elbows and hips are armored and fit well. The zip out liner light and underwhelming but does add an air layer for increased heat retention. In conclusion this jacket for the bargain price is a solid competitor for higher end and significantly more expensive name brand ADV jackets. Including the one named after a mountain in Tanzania which I used to own.

Very high quality jacket! May want to order a size smaller
I normally wear a Large, and found out immediately after receiving that it was simply too big. Luckily, the return process was the simplest ever really, and I had the credit to my account before I got home from dropping the package off at the local UPS pickup location! Now I got the Medium just 3 days later, and it fits PERFECTLY. There's lots of room for adjustments around the lower chest, upper and lower arms and wrists. The sleeves seem long, but this is a motorcycle jacket, and is made for when your arms are stretched out. There's also vents on the front and back, and 4 huge external pockets, that have a built in fold-over flap, in addition to the button flap for further protection from the elements, 2 pockets in the removable liner, a hidden zipper pocket, and a large pocket on the inside left of the jacket itself. All the pads are removable (I believe they are CE level 1, they are quite thin) and kept in place in hidden pockets with velcro flaps. Theres also attachments for matching pants. All the stitching and build quality is very well done, and durable while looking sharp. Multiple flaps and closures for the front (Zipper, velcro tabs and buttons). Some nice reflective bits to not be totally invisible is nice too. Overall, a great jacket that is very versatile, while being protective from accidents in addition to the elements. A true great buy and a steal at the price ($59.99, but it could easily go for more with a bigger name brand on it). Buy it.

Great jacket
First off it has a strong smell from being packaged up like a new born baby. So air it out a little bit. At first it seems bulky but after adjusting the straps on the back, sides, and arms is petty comfy. The air vents on the front and back provide decent air flow once you get the fit right. Have not used it in the rain and hopefully don't have to anytime soon. It is a heavier jacket so dead of summer might not be the best time to wear it even with the inner liner removed. It was 90° today and while moving it is actually pretty cool with the vents open. I had a long sleeve t-shirt on underneath and didn't sweat except for at stop lights. So it can be worn on hotter days of you don't plan on being in stop and go traffic. Plenty of secure pockets to choose from and I felt safe putting things in them. They look like they would keep anything dry as they were all made. Good zipper with a velcro fold over. If I did get caught in the rain I feel like it would keep you pretty dry. Definitely would buy again might even buy a second one so I don't have to look for another if and when this one bites the dust. The inner shell isn't super thick and didn't add much more bulk to the jacket. It does cut down on wind coming thru. So cooler weather would not be a problem in this one. At the price point on this one you really can't go wrong. Has all the features of the expensive jackets not much to hate on here. I don't care for the top of the collar but I'm getting used to it and I don't find it as annoying as the first few rides with it.

No need to spend more.
Unbelievable price for such a full featured and quality cortec motorcycle jacket. Kept me warm during a 50 degree ride this morning. Armor feels substantial. Ordered large and extra large with plans to return the one that does not fit. These jackets run roomier than the sizing chart would indicate; 5ft 11in, 210 lb with a 44-in chest, 36 waist. According to the sizing chart on chest size, I should wear an extra large, but the large fits great (extra large was much too big and baggy) with extra room to layer other clothes underneath and that is even with the thermal liner in. I have a 20 year old TourMaster cortech jacket that has served me well but is getting a bit worn out; it will serve as my backup. I paid six times more for that jacket than this Alpha. If I get 6 years out of this Alpha jacket for the $50 purchase price on Black Friday, it is money well spent.
