iPower Security SCAHDC0002 8 Channel Analog HD AHD 720P DVR Security Surveillance System with 8 Bullet 1MP Cameras (Black)

This is my third camera security system so I know a little about the systems. I decided to get this system so I would not have to change my cables. There are some positives and a couple of negatives about this system.Pros- Good picture quality. The 720P delivers a much better picture, especially during the day. Since I was just replacing the cameras, DVR and power supllies the installation was fast. The cameras are smaller than the bullet cameras I replaced, but the picture clarity is great.Cons- The disk that came with the camera system was mostly useless. If you have never hooked up a camera system before, it did not show you how to do it. You could go online to another company like Amcrest that has great videos on how to install a camera system. The reason I went to the Amcrest website was I could not hook up the camera system to my IPhone for remote viewing and I could not find a contact # for IPower. I spent 30 minutes looking online and then Amazon CS spent about 20 minutes before they could find it. FYI, their contact # is 877-786-9608.After a couple of misses with their technical support person, I got in contact with him today. Found out the QR Code from their system was directing me to an incorrect app to view my cameras. The app that you should use is freecamhd. Once I downloaded that app, I was up and viewing my cameras within 3 minutes.There are a couple of things this company needs to do to be a more consumer friendly company. A better installation disk and including their cs# somewhere on the disk in case a person needs to contact them. I think I was fair with 4 stars with the problems I encountered. The bottom line is this system delivers a good picture and features at a very good price.

A nice package, cameras provide a good image, but have a narrow field of view. For home use, you need something with a wider view unless you live in a mansion and can mount the cameras way up high. I can't really recommend these for that reason. Plus, the only documentation that came was on a mini-disk, which is an outdated technology. Impossible to reach anyone for tech support

This system is excellent. We needed it for a local church. It has wide range view and crisp clear pictures. The only negative is it takes a while to watch back through the video's. But it does exactly as it is supposed to. I haven't learned how to transfer film to the computer yet. But when I can afford it. I am going to buy one for my house. Thank you for such a great product!

Great picture and easy to use ..

Interesting to read through these reviews only to see only a few that were verified purchases. The rest consist of copy/paste fake reviews under different names, clearly made up by the company. I was considering purchasing this security system, but if the company is deceiving everyone with fake 5 star reviews, I certainly won't trust their surveillance system to help keep my family secure. Avoid this product until they get more real reviewers giving honest opinions.
