Comfort Carrier Wheelchair to Aircraft Travel Transfer Sling Seat for Commercial & Private Aircraft, Boating & Recreation, and Emergency Evacuation (Medium: Between 5'6" and 5'11" or 1.67m and 1.8m)

We were using the Beasely Board before getting this. My Mom is bed-ridden from a stroke. Her knees are contracted and it was getting harder and harder to use a sliding board with her to move her from her bed and onto her wheelchair. It was taking longer just to lift her up, and assure her that she wasn't going to fall off the board. I have a lift to transfer her from her bed to her wheelchair, but it just takes up so much space in her room. Finding this online, was a blessing in disguise. It took a few months to get used to it, since we were only using it during doctor appointments and for Church on Sundays. The people at Broadened Horizons were easy to reach via Facebook when I had questions. She has a wheelchair that reclines flat like a bed, so we just transfer her from bed to wheelchair and then tilt her forward. A few months ago, she had to go to the ER, and there was no room for the ambulance stretcher to transfer her from bed to stretcher. Since I had made the call to 911, I had already put the carrier under her. When the Firemen and Paramedics arrived, I just strapped her on, and instructed the people how to carry her out. They were amazed at how easy it was to get her onto the stretcher. from the stretcher to the ER bed. When it was time to go home an hour later, we had to rent a wheelchair service ride and a wheelchair , and it was so easy bringing her home.

not what i thought it would be

My daughter is in a chair and travels for work. On on trip and airline had one on board. They were testing it and it worked so well. Since then this has been the first time we have seen it again. They work so well and make it so easy to transfer I would like to see all airlines carry it on board. My daughter has been dropped, arm pulled out of the socket, set on the arm of the seat and many other thing. this will be carried with her every time she travels. Great Job!!!!
