Great read!
I really enjoyed this book. I liked both main characters and thought that they were well written. Each of their individual story lines were good. The small twists were smartly written and unexpected. This was a quick read that I didn't want to put down.

Easy read but a page turner!
After reading the description I honestly was a little hesitant to read the book. I thought the description kinda summed up the whole book and there wouldn’t be any suspense or drama. Boy, was I wrong. Great book, with a surprising ending. I was so excited to see where each character ended up and how the story was going to end. It’s a fast read with less than 300 pages, so a great book to read at the beach or on snowy day.

Page-turner
This book turned out a lot better than I originally thought! It really sucked me in from the beginning. Fast paced, tautly written, suspenseful, and intriguing. The downside was there were some moments that seemed to have a high level of improbability

Despite some plot holes, an interesting premise for a thriller
This book first crossed my radar when I read about it in a BuzzFeed article about highly anticipated books of 2020. Then it showed up as a selection for June's Book of the Month club. I already had a full box from BoTM, so I pre-ordered this book from Amazon so it would drop on my Kindle at midnight on the release day. (I love all of the hype that surrounds BoTM picks on social media, so I try to read all of the selections that interest me!)Because of the hype surrounding this book, I had high expectations for it. It's too bad that it didn't quite meet up to those expectations. That's not to say it's a terrible book...but I was a tiny bit disappointed because I thought it had the potential to be a smarter book than it was. It ended up being just an average thriller for me. (To be fair, I read a lot of books in this genre.) The ending really didn't do it for me, either, but I'll leave it at that. This would make a good movie or even a mini-series. I'm pretty confident that Hollywood could tighten it up and make a few slight changes to make the plot slicker.Still, this was an entertaining read and it captivated my interest for the few days that it took me to read it.You can stop reading here if you don't want any spoilers...Spoiler + plot speculation:My main criticism is that Eva and Claire's swap already stretched all belief...and then for a random plane crash to happen? I kept expecting Claire's husband to have something to do with the plane crash, but nope, it was just a terrible twist of fate! Now that WOULD have been next level trickery if that had been part of the plot. It just seemed too pat that she had made all of these intricate plans beforehand to leave him and then her travel plans were changed at the last minute for no good reason. Or there could have been a plot line about changing her travel plans because Rory discovered her package of documents and realized what she was up to...so he hired a hit man to make her disappear in Puerto Rico. There are some different ways it could have gone to tighten up that part of the plot that would have made the book a lot smarter.

Love this book so much!!!!
This book had me fully engrossed for the past two days!! I totally enjoyed the characters and really felt sad for both Eva and Claire; both being stuck in horrific situations with almost nothing. Loved the ending, which I didn't expect.

Favorite setup in a book this year
The setup could not be more alluring. “Must find out what happens!” Does level out about half way in though. Great female characters. Great writing. All in all a good read.
