I bought this for my elderly dog who didn't always have control over her bodily functions. She passed away about 6 months ago and we have since gotten a puppy we went through potty training with. Let me tell you, this was a game changer for us. It is always ready to go with the premixed solution in its tank. It's cordless so you just unplug and go! No cords, no separate water/solution mix, no big heavy machine to haul out to use for a 6" spot and then clean and put away. Then once you've cleaned the area, pop off the small bottom container, dump out and then rinse. Easy peasy!I have found it cleans extremely well even removing old stains that the big carpet cleaner couldn't remove! I haven't had a problem with it not sucking the water out of the carpet. It's not any worse than a regular carpet cleaner.I haven't had a problem with the battery giving out even when the unit hasn't been plugged in for a couple weeks. I would use several times each day for our elderly dog without charging in between. I never even got close to running out of battery juice.The premixed cleaner isn't really cheap but you don't go through it too fast because you're just spot cleaning. There were 2 little bottles included in the package. I'm sure other company's products would work but I found the Bissell stuff to work really, really well so it's worth it to me to get the ickiness out the first time!You can use this for more than just pet messes. Pice of chocolate that got ground in? It'll take that out. The infamous "Not Me" person wipe their Cheeto hands on the carpet? Use this. Your kid pukes on the floor? Yep, that come out too. Muddy shoe or paw prints by the door? You've got it covered! Best of all it's no more work than if you had to get the hand vac out to clean up cracker crumbs!

Works as designed, but the only real downside is by the time you go set it up and then clean it out when you're done, it takes almost as long as it would to break out the big carpet cleaner. This is very handy for small areas where moving furniture may be necessary to get where someone made a mess, and the battery holds up surprisingly well. Very portable and relatively easy to clean, but you have to take care of it or it will develop issues, same as the big ones.

I have 3 cats and a dog. Messes are inevitable. After buying a home with an entirely carpet second floor I knew we needed something to get stains up with. I LOVE this little machine. Anytime a pet has an accident I clean it up with this little machine and the carpet looks brand new and smells like the shampoo. I even used on a wine stain that was a couple weeks old and I couldn't get out of the carpet. It entirely removed the stain!The vacuum is also very easy to clean. The parts come apart easily for washing.A lot of reviewers have complained that it leaves your carpet wet. It does, but I expected this. Prior to buying this, we had our carpets professionally cleaned. After the professional cleaning the carpets were wet for hours as the shampoo dried. I bought this machine because I was looking for something that worked in a similar way. Given that the vacuum applies suction but not heat I didn't expect it to completely dry the carpet.Lost a star because it does have a short battery life although for spot cleaning this isn't too bad. Also, it is very specific about the way you can hold it. It cannot be tipped or turned specific ways, which is a bit annoying. Especially, considering the cost and the fact that I have a toddler who loves tipping and turning everything.

It just doesn't have enough suction power to pull a meaningful amount of moisture out of the carpet.It is a great idea but functionally it isn't there. A rechargeable, hand held, carpet cleaner for spot work is a brilliant idea but it just can't generate enough suction.I'd rather either drag out my full size carpet cleaner or just blot the area dry. It is a hassle using the big cleaner for a tiny area but at least it will dry.If the area isn't completely saturated it won't end up with any liquid in the tank.If you use the built in sprayer to really saturate the area then it will appear to remove liquid, because you will have some in the tank, but the carpet will take forever to dry. Which means it left a lot of liquid behind.I tried it a half dozen times and put it in the corner in the garage, then after a year or so brought it back in to try again and this time it is going in the trash. It is in nearly new condition but it is just so useless.

With a brand new puppy in the house it became very apparent immediately that this would be a game changer. It didn't take long for me to tire of dragging out my big carpet cleaner -- sometimes endlessly in so little time. Seemed like I no sooner got it cleaned up and put away and I'd have to drag it back out again. I ordered it the very next day and had it quickly in no time -- but at the time it seemed like eternity! It does a wonderful job of cleaning up any accident that he had quickly and efficiently. It left a pleasant scent and no lingering scents of the accident to cause a repeat. I am 72 and can't really handle much weight or complicated equipment. This is great! I highly recommend it -- and I am happy to say -- hopefully we are housebroken-- although I am ready for any unexpected surprises or accidents that might prevail in the future.
