Good product, tiny piece, blacks out camera, works well
I purchased this for my Surface 3 tablet. My fear of popping up on a Skype meeting in pajamas and no makeup are over. I received this in a standard envelop and laughed when I opened it. It is tiny! But honestly, I love that it's tiny! That's the entire point for me - something to cover the pesky camera and not be bulky. It's marketed for phones but works great on my tablet. I turned on the camera while applying it and it leaves no shadow at all, you can't even tell it's there when it's open if you're on the other end of the camera/meeting. Then you just slide the little circle to the right and you disappear from the screen. The screen goes completely black, not even a shadow outline is there. My only concern was that the adhesive wouldn't hold on the smooth screen of the Surface 3. After sliding it around to be perfectly over the camera hole, I pushed on it to help it adhere. And then I left it. It's important to leave it, maybe push on it again here and there. But if you leave it for a couple of hours, it adheres nicely. If you keep messing with it right after you put it on, it will slide around. Pick a spot for it, press it down and let it adhere. It's been like four hours and seems to not move now. I'm going to leave it for the night and see how tightly it's adhered in the morning. If it's not as much as I would like, my plan is to add a tiny dab or super glue because that will easily scrape off later if needed. Anywho, that's my review for now. If I have updates after tomorrow, I'll add them.

Good for laptops not phones
I love these. They unfortunately don’t stick well to my tempered glass on my phone but they do work great on my laptop! They slide very easily. I would buy again. :)

The Most Well Built & Least Bulky Webcam Cover Available! Don't Even Bother With Other Webcam Covers.
These are by far my favorite webcam covers made. Not only are they just big enough to cover the camera without interfering with the picture at all but they are stylish and very well made unlike most webcam covers. Making the slider magnetic was a brilliant idea as it allows the slider to move back and forth easily without being bulky. I actually thought I lost the slider on the very first phone I installed the ProTech Privacy Webcam Cover on. It turns out the magnetic cover came into contact with a metal part of the phone case on my second cell phone in my pocket and became attached to that. It was a day when I was at the park with my daughter so I was way more active than I normally would be with two cell phones in my pocket. Needless to say a couple days later I checked the phone case I use for my second phone sometimes and there was the slider blending in to the same color metal on the case! While I could see myself having that happen again when I have way to much stuff in my pocket I would say that problem is easily offset by the quality of these webcam covers. A better explanation of why I would rather potentially risk losing the magnetic privacy slider from the ProTech Privacy Webcam Cover versus experimenting with other cell phone camera covers can be seen below in two of the many other types of cell phone camera covers I have experimented with in the past.Experiment #1: The Thin Plastic Rectangle Webcam Privacy Cover: This was the first ever cell phone or laptop camera cover I was ever aware of and initially was provided a couple at one of the larger Information Security Conferences called BlackHat in Las Vegas. If I recall correctly it was the first year a bunch of the vendors there had these with their logo on them. These were so poorly made they would maybe last a couple weeks at best and eventually would just fall apart from opening and closing your laptop lid. Heck sometimes they would fall apart taking it out of the packaging they came in or even if you were lucky enough to get it out of the packaging it might fall apart just as easily while you are lining it up with the webcam on your laptop. They would also fall apart by doing what they were made to do which was open the webcam cover while using your webcam and closing it when you were not using it. Needless to say I gave up on this type of webcam cover after a couple weeks of burning through the reserves I had received from the conference. Buyer beware they are still sold by plenty of vendors and are not worth a penny.Experiment #2: The Sticker Webcam Cover: These actually are easy to install and provide instant privacy. My problem here is their two major claims have always been false. First they claim that you can use them over and over a bunch of times, but this has turned out to be false in my testing and you are lucky if you can reuse it for a week with maybe one webcam use per day. The second claim is that they do not leave any residue on the camera itself, which again I found to not be the case in the end and spent plenty of time cleaning the glass front of the camera on cell phones and laptops while coworkers on the other end of video conference calls sat happy to wait "patiently" so they could make fun of my webcam cover debacle.Needless to say you can see from my experiences why the ProTech Privacy Webcam Covers are by far my favorite way to ensure privacy from the webcams on my cellphones, laptops and desktop computers. I use the silver metal version on my iPhone 6S and the black metal version on my HTC Desire 530. I will be recommending this product to clients, friends and family.Last but not least I have had some interaction with the vendor who answered some questions I had and resolved a minor problem I had in a timely, professional manner.

disappointed
unfortunately these camera covers didn’t work for my iphone xr at all. i placed one on the front facing camera, but it prevented the face recognition from working completely even when the lens was open. i applied another one to the main camera, and it worked well, but i put my phone in my pocket and it popped off. i still can’t find that one, so i can’t even return this product now. i placed the third one on my laptop camera and it works well, but i have to give these one star because theres no functionality for what i needed them for. i specifically got them to use on my front facing camera on my phone, but it’s completely unusable in that regard. i’m a disabled college student on a limited budget so i’m kinda upset that i’m out $13 for a product that didn’t work for me :/it’s decent product in general, but the description should specify that it interferes with facial recognition and that the adhesive isn’t great. they work great for laptops, but not so great for phones in my experience.

so tiny you need tweezers to hold them..DO NOT BUY!
A little too small, in fact so small i needed tweezers to hold them. When it came I could not believe my eyes, because I already was given one but it was 3 times the size of this one.. this also I am a bit concerned about the glue, if it is going to stick well, but i guess is small because it works well for cell phones but a bit bigger for the laptop and computer would have been better.. I mean I was holding with my fingers but afraid I would lose it by the time I reach out for my phone to stick it on the phone.. super tiny.. like the size of a button on a small calculator.. can you imagine?WRITING AN UPDATE: THE cover on the iphone is not holding, glue not holding and for $7.50 a piece (3 piece for $20) I feel this is a rip off. I wish I could return it. Do not buy.

Great starter product but this needs quality improvements.
These covers are great in theory. But, the quality wasn't good. I ordered a package of 3, and I lost one to the floor (couldn't be used afterwards) just while trying to apply them. Their packaging could be improved for this reason. Then, I applied one to my mobile... the round piece that moves broke off so now I have the frame with no cover rendering it useless. The one on my laptop is still there, but it slides around (adhesive issues). So, great starter product but it needs improvement.
